| hi everyone! my name's laurie and me and toblerone, my four and a half month old yorkie, have been thoroughly enjoying the yorkietalk forums for almost a month now. i originally ran across the forums while searching for any yorkie care/tips/info before toby came into my life, and have been pretty addicted to checking and searching on the site ever since! i really want to thank everyone here for all the info on this site, and despite me never posting (i feel like such a newb!), it seems like there's such a great, warm, supportive atmosphere here. i'm currently struggling through my first year of working out of college in the san jose/bay area, but toby has definitely made my life so much livelier. i'm a little ticked with my work right now, however, since they originally let me bring toby with me to work and everyone here loooooooved him, until the bitter office manager lady who once tried to bring her own dogs to the office but couldn't cause they're too big, made me stop ... but other than that, living with toby has been a non-stop roller coaster of fun and challenges, but mostly on the good side that being said, here are a few of my favorite pics of toby for your viewing pleasure |

| Hi Everyone! I first found this site a couple of months ago while trying to learn all I can about Yorkie's, and have learned so much! I am a stay at home mom of two, 20 and 17. We've had Mini Dachsunds for over 22 years (best little dogs, if looking for something other than a Yorkie) After losing our 17 year old, Fernando in Dec. of 2003, I have wished and hoped for another pup someday. I finally convinced my husband to get a Yorkie. Of course, he only wanted to get another doxie, but I wanted something totally new. Talk about nervous! We haven't had a "pup" for 16 years!, I need all the help I can get. I finally found a breeder I'm very happy with in my area (anyone else here from Iowa?) and am waiting for the notice any day now that my puppy has been born. Nice to meet you all!

| I'm a newbie, I have been here 2 months yesterday. I got my first Yorkie almost 14yrs ago. Her Name was Tricia's Lil Candy Mint(Candy). I was 16 and babysat to save the money to buy her. I paid $350 for her (back then that was alot). She had a stroke almost a year ago and it left the left side of her body paralized, including her face and she could no long eat or drink. Putting her to rest was the hardest thing ever. I had a really hard time dealing with her death and at the time never wanted another pup. Then for some strange reason in Nov. 2004 I went on a Yorkie search but didn't want to buy just look. Then on V-day 2005 my husband took my 2 girls to school and said that he had a business meeting and that he would be gone only a few hrs. At 12:43 V-day 2005 he walked in the front door holding a pink baby blanket and said her I think this must be for you. When I opened the blanket I just started crying. She looked so much like my Candy at that age only bigger. I have never been more surprized than that moment and the only times ever so happy were my wedding day and for the birth of my 2 daughters. Wow, that's alot of info about my pups. Now for me, I'm almost 30 (June 29), I have 2 daughters 11 and 6, 34 hermit crabs, 2 cats, and my sweet Lexi. I love to scrapbook, photography, drawing, most crafts, and I'm a vegiterian. here is a pic of me.(would post pics of my whole family but I have a very protective husband who is totally against posting pics of the kids on the net.

| Am I new? I feel like I havent' shared any info about me I am from Alaska and when I got my Master's I decided to leave and see what else was in the world. I ended up in Albany, NY and I teach at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I'm 29, single and unable to have children so I have yorkies instead Simon and Hallie are both resues (which I have said before) and I was only supposed to be their foster mom. I got Simon on my bday, he was 3 months old and had a tumor his owners didn't "want to deal with" so I did and he has been fine ever since having it removed. He has a sensitive belly but nothing major! Last July while still in AK a very good friend of mine called from the animal shelter and told me they had found an abused (beaten) and neglected yorkie they were bringing in. Needless to say I arrived the same time the officers did and there was Hallie, she only weighed 2 pounds at the time (malnourished) and is now a healthy 5 pounds. I adopted her and shower them with love. I have no family in NY so the 3 of us travel everywhere and explore all the time. I am so happy here because it is a safe place full of people that love their pets! Thank you all for being friends with us and teaching me so much about my babies! |

| Hello! Hey everyone! Im also new here and just want to say what a great site this is! I have been lurking around for about 3 months now and finally joined a couple days ago! I dont have a yorkie yet, but I have found a wonderful breeder who is trying to breed her pups right now and I have reserved one! Which means I wont have a little pup until sometime around September/October. I feel like I am never going to make it, but it is worth it to have a healthy beautiful puppy! Plus it also gives me a little time to start putting money away for all of the expenses, im a college student, so money can be tight at times! I will be living alone next year and I want to get a little guy to keep me company. Other than daily classes I will have plenty of time to devote to a puppy! I have done a lot of research over the past few months and have decided that a yorkie will be a perfect match for me! Thanks to everyone for the wealth of information that they have contributed to on this site! I think y'all are just great! |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Hi! I joined the site on 4-23. I live in Southern Texas. My name is Kim. I'm married with 2 kids--9 & 4. I have 2 yorkies, Chester and Gracie. I've asked a couple of questions on here since Saturday because my Gracie is due with her first litter on Thursday (4-28). I live a pretty boring life Oh, I have 2 cats (Cody & Precious both altered) and lots of guppy fish. I love coming to this site to see what people talk about and to also get ideas on my yorkies. People here seem pretty friendly which goes over well with us Texans!!! |
