Have you ever heard of.... I was looking online at some yorkies for sale in Minnesota and I found a breeder that had yorkie babies. I was reading and she had a brother and a sister for sale for $500 each. I thought to myself WOW that is cheap. I read on and she said that one leg is shorter than the other, on both puppies. What kind of problems could come from that? Also have you ever heard of puppies "blowing their coat"?

I wonder how much of a difference in their legs there actually is. They may not be show quality, but just a slight difference in leg lengths may not be that big of a deal. Please post the link if you can. As for "blowing their coat," I've never heard of it.

Blowing their coat means, they are losing their baby coat, and getting an adult one. I don't know if your Yorkies did this, but my Morkie did. When we got Piper she was losing her hair, the breeder said she was probably blowing her coat. I just think the breeder was trying to cover it up that her hair was falling out do to poor diet.

| I'm certainly not an expert, and have never heard of "blowing their coats". I'd love to see a link though.

When we got Stewy, the breeder said that he would not ween and he blew his coat. He was patchy and so the shaved his body but not his head. He looked so pathetic. The breeder told me that he had to force feed him for 6days.

Maybe the back are shorter or longer than the front. I have seen this, and it was hardly noticeable, though this case might be a lot different. Definitely disqualify a show dog though. It would not bother me a bit, if everything else was ok.

I have a short leg. My female has a leg that is shorter than the other three. Hers is due to her momma breaking it when she was very little. She was from my moms litter Anyway the vet said all was ok. she just broke it in the growth plate so it is about 1/4 inch shorter. it doesn't stop her in the least. The vet did say that there is a birthdefect that does acure in some Yorkies that makes a leg shorter. They are health but should not breed. Blowing coat. I think off a chow or huskie that looses it's season coat.
