K-9 advantix and frontline? Are they about the same. I have been using frontline but it doesnt seem to be very good. Anybody use the advantix? Thanks for all responses!

i use advantix for lexi... i guess it works, although lexi is itching a bit, i will know tomorrow if its working, she is seeing the vet..

I use Advantix. I have never had any problem with it. I can't say if it's better than the other because I've never used the other one.

I use Frontline and it works great, but it doesn't last the whole month. My vet told me I could give it to them every 2 weeks.

I use the k-9 advantix with kizzy and never had a problem. So It works for her good and thats the only kind ive ever used so I dont know which is the best.

I complained about this very thing to my vet and he said NONE of them last a whole month but they will last longer if you use a soapless shampoo.

Did your vet mention that you could use it every 2 weeks? I'm a little nervous about that being that my 2 are so tiny. Hootie has an appointment with her new vet tomorrow, so I'm going to get an 2nd opinion on using the Frontline every 2 weeks. I'll let you know what they say.

I use Advantix b/c we live in the south. I can't comment on which one is better.

I used frontline and it didn't work for me at all, I switched to advantage and if worked like a charm. My vet once told me that every dog reacts different to the two and you have to see which one works best for your dog.
