| Yorkie/Dacshaund puppy pics I posted pics of my sister's Yorkie/Dachsy mix (Gadget)several weeks ago. Here's pics I took today. He is about 4 months old. He's starting to sprout blond hair! We are dog sitting him and his Schnoodle brother. The Schnoodle is the most laid back, docile dog....Gadget(the Yorkie mix) is a B-R-A-T!! We've spent all day today trying to get him in line. He has no doggy manners. He goes up my Yorkies and either puts his face right in theirs or jumps on them. It p.o's Scout so much that he's put him in his place more than once. We are working on Rules and Boundaries...he's obviously never had any. He's starting to understand that we are the pack leaders around here. Unfortunately, he goes back to his undisciplined life in a week. I'm a bit worried, 'cause he will not be a good dog unless my sister gets control!

LOL...you should live with him! I know he's young and still in puppy stages, but I feel it's never too early to establish leadership and acceptable behavior. He definetely thought he was in charge of all humans and dogs when he came to our house yesterday. He did alot of biting on all three of the other dogs-going after their ears mostly. You could tell all the other dogs had just about enough. He also followed us and tried to bite toes if we had sandals or no shoes on. We had to stay on top of him constantly..I'm worn out. We had to do lots of correction yesterday and today. It's getting better...I am making him a project....and telling my sister she better keep him in line at home!!

| Well I'm glad at least you seem to be enjoying yourself. They can be little monsters if we don't get the leadership role straightened out at the get go. Your sister will think you've traded puppies on her when she picks him up....

| Good Luck! I had a dachshund once and she was the most stubborn, feisty, untrainable, silly funny, smart and lovable little dog ever. Now mix that with a Yorkie and add this attitude to it I guess you'll create a monster! LOL |

| Isn't this the little guy we've seen pics of before? If I remember, he's got the yorkie face & doxie body. My parent's had a dachshund & I've got the Yorkie, & if you ask me they're both stubborn creatures. So I can understand what you're going through!!!

| I totally understand what you are going through!! We were dog sitting for my cousin. She had two dogs, a shih tzu and a terrier mix. We had no problems with the terrier mix. But the whole time, the shih tzu(female) tried humping my dogs. She was constantly doing it. The little ones were scared of her and would hide the whole time and the bigger dogs got really mad and got into several fights with her. She finally learned that at our house, that type of behavior is not allowed. She wore us out, every minute or two we had to always say no and correct her. The dogs went back home to their owners Friday and I know what they learned here is a lost cause. They never correct their dog for doing this behavior, they don't see a problem with her doing it.
