Wollfy I am sooo sorry to hear that happen to you, esp. since we live in the same area, you just don't think about it happening where you feel safe...you home. The ignorance of some. Call the police and report it

When I saw who it happened to I felt even more angry. Not that I wouldn't be angry, but after talking to you here and helping you out with looking for a pup I feel like I know you even better. I am so happy your baby didn't get hurt, but sorry that you did!

Ugh! I am so sorry you have had to indure that today. Know that while many people are seriously flawed in their views on race and culture, there area many people who are not. I'm impressed with your ability to forgive. Your mother sounds like a very wise woman.

There are no limits to the ignorance and hate some people hold in them. I wonder if those ignorant half-wits realize they just committed FEDERAL crime. Yes, racial assaults are federal when they are done expressly to deny someone their legal rights. You were assaulted doing only what the law allows you to do. It is probably a bit late to report the incident and your family might think it is best to just let it go and not harbor the kind of hate that those devils do.

My mom said that everyday brings new tests and chanllges(sp) that you have to pass on to the next day. Plus you have to forgive but not forget. And remember of what you are and who you are and don't be ashamed of it.

Your mom is a wise woman. I am proud that she is able to give you such good advice. I am SO sorry this happened to you today. Those bottom-dwellers really make me sick. I don't understand racism at all. All because of the color of someone's skin??? How much more immature and stupid can people be????

I have bi-racial nieces and nephews...and you know what? They are just as beautiful as can be and I couldn't love them more. I am half Mexican and I have adopted a daughter from Guatemala. I LOVE that our family is sort of like a melting pot.

In the last few years, the Hispanic culture in Indiana has really increased. Of course I love it...I think Hispanic people are beautiful and come from a really loving family oriented society. But, there are times when people say "these Mexican's this and these Mexican's that." I love pointing out to them that I am half Mexican. I don't like the "Mexican's" comment at all. Why not say "Mexican people, or Mexican men." It's just as racially unacceptable to say "those Mexican's" as it is to say "those Blacks" in my opinion. Oh, and my lease favorite comment is "I have to admit, those Mexican's are really hard workers." As if there is something wrong with that....or that is all "they" are good for? I don't get it at all.

I am already teaching my children to love and appreciate people from all races. When I was a little girl, my mom always bought us a black baby doll, or black Barbie to help us realize that people come in all different shades and to love everyone regardless of the way one looks. I do the same with my daughters. I also tell my son that I don't care who he chooses for a girl friend or wife...black, white, Asian, etc....what matters is what she is like on the inside. If parent's everywhere could just teach love instead of being an example of ignorance and hate, the world would be a much happier place.

I think most everyone of every race has experienced racism at some point in their life. I've never had a rock thrown at me, thank God. I am just sick that you had to go through that and I am really glad you didn't get anymore hurt than you did.

How sad for people who live such little lives that they can't see past the color of their own nose and see the people of the world for what they are....shades of beautiful colors that make us all unique and beautiful.

Jesus teaches us to love our ememies and to pray for those who persecute us. It is a tough example to follow, but it sounds like you have a big enough heart to be able to embrace the idea.

I hope you are feeling better. Just remember...not all people are ignorant and not all people have hate in their hearts. Also remember that there is a higher power and He will make sure we are all held accountable for our actions.

Just wanted to add....no one should be judged for the way they look...but people should and will be judged for the way they behave. Those cowardly "men" will have to stand before the ultimate Judge someday and explain their answers to Him. Wouldn't we all like to have a front row seat to hear that!!!

I am so sorry for what happened! People and so small and ignorant sometimes. I am thankful that people such as that make up such a small percentage of this country. Your Mom sounds like a very wise lady! Please be careful when you are out alone ... that's the Mom in me!

Sorry people can be very cruel and ignorant. I can't tell you to ignore it, because I know how it feel, cause I know it still hurts. I think the first time I was called that I was working my afterschool job( over 10 yrs ago) I was waiting on someone else, and this lady simply called me a dumb lazy "N". The other lady I was waiting on, who was also white...Cursed her out, but it still bothered me. I have since learned that you take the power out of the "users" hand by just ignoring them. So keep your head up....and if you see that truck again, right down the tag number because that was completely a hate crime. And take pictures....file a police report.

That is terrible. It is sad that people think and behave that way. Too bad the rock didn't miss you both but I'm glad you were fast enough to keep it from hitting Baby Jane. Your mom is a very smart lady. It is good that you forgive them but be careful, sometimes people like that get bolder and more crazy. I tell my kids not to walk around afraid but be aware of the people and possible dangers around you.

Jhordan, I am so sorry that you had to experience that. People can be so rude and obnoxious. They are just cowards. Prejudice people are so ignorant. I know many racist people and I hate when they talk about blacks, spanish people, etc. Some of my friends even freaked out because they thought we were going to have a black pope! So I freaked out and set them in their place!

I feel so horrible that this happened to you Jhordan, but I am glad that you have a very wonderful, wise mother to help you through it. She speaks the truth! As far as skin color goes, I could care less what color anyone is! You would be my friend even if you were BLUE! LOL! One time, I had an assignment for school to write a story and I based it on racism with people who lived on a rainbow because our world is just so full of prejudices. People just need to get over it! Jhordan, stay strong and just ignore people like that. They are just a bunch of friggen jerks!
