| So You think they don't like water!! Ollie and Chachi are not real fond of their baths, so I thought they probably wouldn't like to play in a pool. We're having a terrible heat wave here, temps over 100. I read on another thread that someone put out a kiddie pool. I had thought of doing it but didn't think they would like it. I have a pool that I keep for the grandkids, so I got it out and put in just a couple of inches of water. They loved it. It had a tiny hole, so during the night the water leaked out, so this morning Chachi decided that it would make a good litter box. So I had to wash it out. I put a piece of duct tape over the hole, and put more water in. They jumped right in. Then just like a couple of kids, they jumped into my flower pots and dug in the dirt with their wet feet then got back into the pool. So I had to change the water. I swept up all the dirt, and moved the pots to the other side of the fence. Now they can play in the pool and not the dirt. I'll try to get some pictures later. |

| It sounds like they had a blast. Please take some photos. It's so funny what they like and don't like. Sissy doesn't like the wet grass, but will immediately walk through a puddle!!

| How cute. and I agree they are just like kids! I was thinking of getting Gus a little pool. He does go in the big pool with me but it's really really hot here and I can tell when he gets too hot but I can't be in the pool all day with him. The only thing I'm worried about pool is the water getting too hot. My next door neighbor had a little pool for 2 her kids when they were small but the summers are so hot here the water got so hot it burned one of them pretty good. What I've been doing is putting Gus in the sink and wetting him from the neck down just to cool him down throughout the day.

| yes it is cute to see them playing like that i'm sure. I only have kizzy and she dont like a bath much either. I sent pics of her other day from when i put ice and water in her old cage and I did it again today (no pics tho today) while she was in it i turned on the hose and just sprayed sprinkles all over her, she didnt like it at first but when I quit and opened the door to let her dry out she ran right back in and ended up soaking wet all over. but she stayed out a while and was dry real quick. its hot folks. lol
