| just a random question my friend is getting a maltipoo and i dont really know much about the breed. she lives with me at the moment and im so excited about having my two babies and her new pup living all together. she'll be getting her pup this next friday. any YT'ers out there have or seen a maltipoo because im soo fascinated about the mix and dont know anything about them. how big do they get [will they be bigger than yorkies?], their temperment, are they yappy dogs, and so on. i can't wait to meet her (= any info on the breed will be soooo helpful. p.s- sorry that this post isn't about yorkies. |

| I don't know if this will help much, but I have a yorkie/maltese and his traits are all yorkie...I think alot of there personality in a mixed breed is all up to the pup its self, which side it takes from, My friend has his sister and she acts more like maltese.. Peanut is more like a yorkie and has the coat of a maltese.

| A maltese in general is alot like a yorkie. But since it is mixed with a poodle you never know what you will get as far as temperantment and looks. It is just like a yorkiepoo, some look like yorkies and have the same temperment and some look like poodles and have their temperment. Poodles themselves are great dogs, really intelligent. As far as size goes it depends on how big the poodle was. Maltese are the same weight as yorkies. Maltipoos are really cute.

With mixes you can never tell their tempermant and traits because they will pick up them from both breeds, or every breed that they are mixed with. These could be good and/or bad traits. Most mutts are known to have less health problems, live longer, and have better tempermants, but you really don't know for sure because it depends on each individual dog. | |

| we shave him down every summer cause he has so much hair, it is real thick...but I am sure no matter what your friends puppy looks like it will be great..he will have his own personality. Thats what makes it so much fun with all of them.
