Well all, I"m sad to say that my Fiancee' got suckered into this $250 in the hole. Her love for animals and a attempt to adopt a adorable English Bulldog helped set the trap. I"m away in Afghanistan and if I could get to Nigeria, I'd find Mr. Fazzina, if there is even such a person, and get my money back a dollar at a time-two hundred and fifty times. I googled his name and this forum came up. Wish she'd only thought of it first. Thanks for the awareness, I'm going to see if this bogus site can be booted off the internet, and if not, I'll post to ever FORUM I can find, and not just DOG RELATED FORUMS EITHER... I cant staaaaaaaaaaaand a thief. Thanks Again....HEY, I might just find a yorkie somewhere. (smile)

Dont be fooled by a scammer that calls himself Reverend Julio Martin either. I had 2 people in different parts of the US contact me with letters this idiot sent them trying to sell them puppies and he sent them pictures of my puppies he stole off my website. I emailed him acting like I was the buyer and requested him to send me copies of their AKC pedigrees and a picture of the puppy with a piece of paper in front of it with my name and the date on it. He got very irate with me and told me he refuses to comply because I am acting like he is a scammer or something. I asked him why he was so angry for me asking such a simple request of someone unless he was trying to hide something. He finally sent me someones elses CKC papers. I emailed him that he must have grabbed the wrong papers by mistake because the dogs he was trying to sell me were AKC and this is a CKC paper and I was still waiting for the pictures of the dogs with my name in front of them. He got all pissed off and yelled back (in capital letters) IF YOU DONT WANT THE DOGS THEN QUIT EMAILING ME!!!!!!!!That is when I broke the news to him that I didnt want to buy them because I already owned them and called him a few chioce words I cant repeat on here. Needless to say he never returned my email He had a pretty good game going and spoke perfect English so I am sure many people were fooled. Only problem was he was too stupid to take my name off of the pictures before he sent them out. LOL.......What an idiot.

there's THOUSANDS and thousands of scams on the net and even in the newspapers these days - when you see Red Flags - follow your instincts. There's no free yorkies - no 'Pay Shipping Only' Yorkies and please be very careful when looking.

NEVER Wire money to anyone and try to see the dogs if possible. I'm sorry you got scammed - but this is a very common way these JERKS are getting free money from people - The Pet Business is huge but they do these same scams in other areas too.

These Nigerian scams although it may seem as one person sitting in their home , in fact it is really big business. Many offices around the world maned by hundreds of people per office. Be careful.

The very worst was a Nigerian that was reported in our paper about a week ago. How could anyone be this cruel?

They call the family of someone in Iraq, pretend to be the Red Cross and tell them their son/daughter has been badly injured and they need some info to transfer soldier to a hospital in the states. They ask a few questions and then ask their social security number and the people don't hesitate for a second and give it out. I think I would too. Of course after no word they check with army personnel and the Red Cross Do you know what I would like to do with those people.

everytime i get one of those emails, i return an email stating i am going to report them to the fbi email fraud division. i don't know what this does to them but i hope it will stop some of them.

i once had a return email and the man stated he was going to find me and break my neck.

Yeah, I responded to an ad on backpage.com also. This was back in September 2006...the same day I went to see Izzy for the first time. My main reason for not replying to him was because the Nigera thing didnt sound right and I did not want to pay for a puppy to be shipped. They really should be taken off of the web.

It's an old article, but still very relevant. He does say not to mess with the scammers; they can be dangerous people. Best to just delete and forget.

Over a year ago we found that some yorkie members were having their dogs pictures stolen so they could scam people and put them up for sale. Did I say sale??? They were giving them away and people were falling for it. They would have had us in Florida to pick up a dog that would not be there and were asking for money for this and that and shipping etc through WESTERN UNION (word to remember....run) Well we decided to scam the scammers and it was the most fun I have ever had or least in a long time One member was so good at typing Nigerian with the accent and all, she had us rolling on the floor. We were successful but they pretty much go on to someone else and yet we used up much of their precious time.

Years ago the first time I got one of these bleeding heart letters I went to the police with it. They said if they had to follow through to the FBI with everyone that was reported they would never have time left for police work.
Guess that means we have to do our own police work people.
