| Suggestions on colds?? Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can give my Sebastian for a cold? I do believe that is what he has. I figure if it gets worse then I will take him to the vet. He is sneezing like crazy and his nose sounds a little stuffy. I thought about giving him a very small amount of children's liquid Benadryl. Any suggestions will help.

| Wish I could help, but I don't have any suggestions. I'm replying because I'd like to know how the children's benadryl works if you try it. I hope Sebastian gets feeling better soon! |

| I have given mine childrens benadryl for minor colds and allergies, sneezing, runny/stuffy nose, watery eyes and it helps them. You could always try it and if you don't see an improvement in a couple of days then take him to vet.

| I will go ahead and try the Benadryl and see how that works. I will keep everyone posted. I am so worried about him. He seems a little uncomforatble at times because he can't get any good rest. Hopefully the Benadryl will help him get some decent sleep. I am going to call the vet in the morning and see if they have any suggestions before I bring him in.

| Are you sure he even has a cold? My dogs get "stuff" sniffed up their nose occasionally and then sneeze their heads off for a while. I wouldn't want to give my dogs any medicine (of any kind) unless I knew they needed it. If it is something similar to a cold - it should run its course in a few days or a week. If not, or if it worsens, I suppose a trip to the vet is in order - darn! Carol Jean |
