this is a sad story our family yorkie was stollen by kids down the street. i was in the process of getting her chiped but waiting on an app from the vet. this is my problem the lady who has our meg says she is a boy and gives us two our three stories of how and when she got it. she says the dog is neutered but i cant find a scar at all and the cops dont understand a female yorkies anatomy looks simaler. i can tell its our meg you all can when youve loved a dog like we have. the cops are no help because they think its a male. our meg is 3 months old still a pup and trys to get to my wife every time we see her fights the kids shes with till they pick her up and drag her away. if anyone can send me pictures of a female and a neutered male yorkie or give me a link to a site that has them it would help alot to show the police. im not sure how this forum works so here is my email bryangriffy@yahoo.com

WHAT?!?!? That is crazy....I don't have pictures for you BUT a male dog's penis extends UP his belly, a female's is located between her legs. It is easy to tell the difference between a male and a female....even neutered ones...without a medical opinion. They only remove a male's testicles. If you want to detemine whether or not a female has been spayed....a vet would be able to tell you ....there's a small scar on her belly. Put it this way...if you rub their tummies and bump into "something" it's a boy.

Any chance you have pictures of your dog to show the police? I'd do that too. Good luck....

the police wont look at them because of the little lump between her legs they say its a boy and the wont even look. its to bad the nail polish came off her nails to show them the pink color. her silver streeks are all the same. and i havent seen a male yorkie but i also thought it was up a little more then the female

OMG that's terrible! I would steal it back, then when the dog s**ts I would put it in a paperbag and light it on fire and ring there doorbell..I'm sure you guys get the picture. What about records of where you purchased vs. "where they purchased" it...will that do anything? Also, try going to different police officers.

No really they don't look the same. All you have to do is look at their bellies...a boy's penis is located UP their bellies.....if the police won't look, get an attorney........

i have all papers she doesnt have to show anything because they think its male so they wont ask her for them.please someone send me a pic of a male and female genitalia to prove to them.

Steal her back or you can take your Vet with you and the police to her house, along with any papers and pictures you may have. I would be going out of my mind if someone took one of my babies and wouldn't give them back. I honestly think I would go crazy. The males and females look so different they've got to be blind not being able to tell the difference between a make and female. I live in Frankfort. Where in Indiana do you live?

oh my god thank you very much i call my mom and she didnt tell me she was on a first name basis with the chief of police. so we will give him this and keep trying. thank you very much

You are very welcome...like I said...it's fairly obvious...just look at their tummies....females do not have anything on their tummies.

Wishing you the best of luck....hope you get Meg back. The whole situtation is just sucky.

Be sure to find any pictures you have of her and any paperwork where you purchased her from....then let the thieft come up with any documentation....which you know they do not have. Let us know the outcome...hoping for the best.

I find it hard to believe that people can't tell the difference between a male and a female! Whether they are spayed, neutered, big dog or small dog. There is such a difference. Ask the people, who you think took your dog if you can take a good look at it and flip it over! The penis will me almost in the middle of the stomach..

well now i think they will look at my pictures you gals and guys are the best and i live in terre haute.and we are going out of our mind we miss her verry much and with the collar they have on her we hope they dont hurt her at all or they will be paying one way or another.it stinks having to wait till tomorrow to get her back. then i have to work sun so i wont see her much
