i really enjoy hanging out on my porch with romeo. i put out a small bowl of food and water for him. ants are getting into his food bowl. i sprayed down the porch with soapy water yesterday to deter them. no luck. more ants today. how can i get rid of them safely?

thanks.... i checked it out. i will try some of the suggestions. the weird thing is that they are only in his bowl. not the surrounding area.

Set his bowl in a plate of water, it works.

They sell bowls at Petsmart or other pet stores that are ant proof. I guess they can't climb up these particular bowls. I had the same problem with my cat's bowls & I just called Terminix & now I don't have ants!

Romeo's food must be soooo darn good for the ants to focus all their energy on it
