Sad News on Bentley - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Hi All...I have very sad news this morning. The vet called at 9:00AM this morning to tell me that my baby Bentley passed away. I am so sad....I can't stop crying. I can't believe he's really gone. My father passed away a few months ago and Bentley was helping me to deal with the loss of my father. I just can't understand why God would do this to me....first take daddy then take my Bentley. It has always been my dream to have a little yorkie....my dream finally comes true....only to be torn away only 3 months later. My heart is so broken. I know he fought very hard, but he just didn't have the strength to recover. Thanks to all of you for your prayers and words of encouragement.

First Joey and now Bentley. Oh, this is just so sad. I'm so very, very sorry for your loss. When we lost Bandit I did not think I would ever get over it. Take all the time that you need to grieve. Don't let anyone say "it's just a dog" or "you should be over it by now". I will continue to keep you in my prayers that your heart will heal and you will have such wonderful memories of your boy. I know it may not sound like much now, but Bentley knew that he was loved and you made his short life one filled with love and joy. He was very lucky to have you. God bless!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can relate to what you are feeling right now. I lost my Dad in January and my sweet Shadow in March. I lost it! I know it doesn't seem like it right now but things will get better.
I hope in the future you can get to experience the love of another yorkie?

When sorrows are in our lives, even though we don't understand why, there is a reason. Keep your trust in the Lord, and He will NOT let you down. He is constant and true, and unchangeable. We may not know why things happen that hurt, but also, you never know what could have been lying ahead, possibly much worse. Once again, things happen for a reason

Stick with him, and you will be just fine.

I am so sorry for your loss. Bentley fought the good fight but it was just bigger than he was. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. Be strong and you will ge thur this. Just carry his little memory in your heart and draw on it when times are hard.

I cannot imagine what you are going through right now . . . but it sure must hurt really badly . . to lose someone you love . . one after the other.

I hope you will find it in your heart to love again and not give up the possibility of having another yorkie . . grieve for as long as you can, but I am sure you have way too much love to share and give to another yorkie.

I wish I knew why god did the things he does, some are good and some are bad, there has to be a reason! The only thing I can think of is your dad really needed Bentley up in heaven, and now there both looking down on you and keeping you safe.
I'm so sorry you have to go through this, it's not fair, but keep your head up and your heart open, a new baby will be in your arms very soon! My thoughts and prayers are with you!
