| Boy or Girl? I have the choice to pick between a girl and a boy yorkie tonight, it really makes no difference to me, but is there a major difference that I need to be concerned with? |

| I have a boy and 3 girls . Gazou is my adorable little cuddler , the girls are more prone to mood swings but I love them all and will never let them go . |

| I have one of each and both are good. I would just go with the puppy you like the best.

| PICK THE BOY! Just kidding. I agree to go with the one you find yourself drawn too. I've always had male dogs and cats. Not sure why I just prefer them.

| Pick the one that seems easy going...hold it...play w/ it for a bit.

| Thanks for all the great advice! There are just so many decisions! Now I have to think of a name, oh this is too much....My husband thinks I am a freak for going and picking a vet and a groomer in person, I dont care though, I do not have children yet, so this is like my first child, I can hardly wait!

| That part is more complicated than I thought. There is one breeder who has a boy and a girl now (hense my decision dilema right now), but I have not seen her house or anything. She lives about 2 hours away, so I would have to pick them up in 4 weeks. The other lady is only 20 minutes away, seems to be a really careful, sweet breeder, and her mama is already a week late, so she expects that she will have her pups tomorrow or Saturday. The only thing is she has already pre-sold a boy and a girl out of her, so if that is all she has then I get nothing, if she has two girls, I get a girl, and two boys I get a boy. Hopefull she will just have three so everyone is happy. Worse case senario, I can wait for the next litter, but that will be 8 more weeks, arrggg!

| Good Luck! I have a boy and he is as cuddley as can be. I don't know what I'd do without him. We don't have any children yet either and he is TOTALLY my baby! (He's my husbands baby too He gets more goo-goo over him then I do!!, Which is a task all in it's own). Last edited by Meg; 05-25-2006 at 12:49 PM. |

| Little girls like to cuddle too. Well, Ginger does anyway. Girls are so much fun to play dress up with. AND they don’t hump stuff. lol I wouldn’t pick your pup based on it’s sex though. Pick he or she by their personality and the way they act towards you. Both sexes are supper cute and loving.

| It's a boy! I went and met with another breeder and I got a boy! Well I get him next Friday, I need to "baby proof" my house, I have lots of plants and such that need a new home now. We are going to name him Beasley, I am totally so excited! I was actually shocked at how much my husband loved him. He is really really whittle, he is 3 lbs right now and 4 months old, so maybe he will get to 4 lbs. Up until today I was against getting a yorkie that old, but when I saw him I fell in love, so did my husband! I am sure that you all with get tons of questions from me sooner than later, thanks everyone for being so helpful!

| Hey Meg! Congrats on your new puppy! My husband and I got our yorkie for Christmas from my parents. My family has always had girl yorkies, but my husband really wanted a boy. I really wanted a girl, but I was just so excited that my husband agreed to get a yorkie that I agreed to get a boy. Now I am so happy with my little boy. He is just SO affectionate and cuddly. We won't be having children for a while, either, so he is definately our child! We even decided to get another one, which we will get in July. We are getting a girl this time...we wanted another boy, but the breeder we wanted to get it from only had a girl. My husband went to high school school in Chattanooga, by the way. We absoultely love it there and hope to move there and settle when both of us get done with school. |
