| ![]() Hi. My baby Bentley is a CKC registered yorkie. He is a very tiny guy...weighed 1.b at 6 wks....weighs 1.5 lbs. at 4 months. The only thing i'm not sure about is why the hair on his legs isn't growing....do you think that maybe he'll be a late bloomer since he's so tiny? Someone mentioned to me that he may be part chihuahua. I did notice that he has some long hairs amidst the short ones....kinda like it's trying to grow. I'll attach some pictures....tell me what you think. The first pic he's 6 wks., 2nd pic 11wks, 3rd & 4th pic 13 wks. |

| ![]() He looks purebred. Although I might be wrong, he looks like a redlegged yorkie to me. This type of yorkie isn't able to grow a long coat because their coat is coarse and thin. ![]() |

| ![]() That is what he looks like to me, a red legged yorkie. They can grow a long coat but the hair on their legs will be short and won't grow long like the rest of the coat. Quite a few people have them, I believe their are some here on YT.

| ![]() Bentley is very cute. Sissy's leg hair is also slow growing. I just trimmed it for the first time at 8 1/2 months. I plan to keep her in a puppy cut, so it doesn't matter for us. I think she may be red-legged also. The 1st photo is Sissy at 13 weeks - the others are recent (between 8 & 9 months old)

| ![]() He looks perfectly normal for a little guy. He looks a lot like my brody. Brody is now 8 1/2 months and weighs just under 3lbs with the same color and hair. He may take a year or 2 to get any hair but it will come slow but sure. It just may not be long. My sister had one male little guy that didnt get hair until he was 8 yrs old and then it grew really long. |

| ![]() Sometimes peoples are really funny . Your little one is a Yorkie . Most of all smaller Yorkies look like little chihuahua when they are puppies . My friend Lynda have a 8 years old , weighting 1 pound 8 ounces and the peoples are constantly asking her if the dog is a long coated chihuahua puppy . They are really surprised when she told them that she is 8 . Heidi looked like a chihuahua puppy when I was visiting her at the breeder's home . It never bothered me because I knew she was a Yorkie . | ![]() His coat looks a lot like Dylan's, who I'm pretty sure is a red leg yorkie. I have attached a picture of him at 8 weeks old when I first got him, and one at 14 weeks. |

| ![]() What a little cutie pie! He looks all yorkie to me. One of my mother's yorkies still had extremely short leg hair at a year old. The rest of his coat was long and it was starting to look a little funny so she had him clipped in a puppy cut. When the coat grew back, the legs grew in too and today at 2 1/2 he has one of the most beautiful coats I've ever seen. At 4 months it is way too soon to be concerned. I'd love to see more pictures of your little guy! ![]() |
