| excellent read.....we have been carrying her outside and setting her down in the spot....then praising and carrying back in!!! big mitake!!! also, when she has made a spot on the carpet, we would show it to her, slap the ground beside it and say NO! (not rub her nose in it)....she would run away (so cute btw) and one of us would bring her back to watch us scrub it up.....obviously teachign her to hide it.....GREAT TIPS.....this is our first dog ever and were are totally devoted to getting it right. (even though addy is prolly still too young to learn, we think she shows signs!) she certainly knows her treat is coming after a hefty poop! |
