| camping advice? So we are going camping for the first time with Josie the first weekend of June. Is there any needed advice that anyone would like to share about camping with yorkies that you think I should know? We bought a new tent with a "pet den" even though she will probably acutally sleep with me!

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | You will love camping with your Yorkie. They love it, too, because they get to play outside a lot. Be sure to watch for predators, tics, foxtails, etc. Will it be cold at night? Your pup is probably used to sleeping at 68 to 70 degrees, so anything colder could be uncomfortable. Pay attention to her and don't let her shiver. We've snow-camped with Eddie before, and I keep a fleece coat on him at night and he does fine. If cold is an issue, you might think about getting a small foam pad for her to lay on and a blankie to snuggle into. My wife usually snuggles with him in the sleeping bag, too, but you've gotta be very careful not to roll over on her. And let her decide if she wants to snuggle. Most importantly, take lots of pictures and post them here!

| How fun!! Oh, you will absolutely love it!! We've camped with Yogi, about three times now this year, I think and we are going Memorial Day weekend!! He just loves it!!! He can actually be a dog and roll in the dirt and mommy doesn't get mad !! He really enjoys it. I agree with the previous post about temperature, especially at night. Yogi has worn his sweater. Not sure where you are camping, but if you are camping in June, in some parts of the US, it's warm at that time of the year, so keep an eye on her water intake and shade and all that. But have fun and take plenty of pictures!!!

| I was wondering the same thing too. I am taking Bailey and Morgan for 5 days.....we are leaving on Thursday. I really don't want to tie either of them up and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what to do with them when we are hanging around camp. I don't feel comfortable letting either of them loose around our camp site. We are going to take the x-pen and our colapasable kennel with us so they have some down time but I do see something around Smudger and was wondering what you used?

| Thanks everyone! You are making me even more excited! Josie has lots of sweaters and a couple jackets to keep her warm. I think we will bring her little doggie bed to keep her off of the ground while she sleeps, unless she wants to snuggle with me. We got her haircut short for the summer, so it gets less tangeld and matted with twigs and things, but I will still bring a comb and brush.
