| Two or Three??? I am thinking about adding another furbaby to our household. I am sure there are several people that have more than two little ones around. For those of you that do, is there much of a difference? Just wondering... |

| I have a yorkie and a maltese and 2 cocker spaniels that live with me. On occasion I have a litter of pups also. I find the more the merrier! In fact I'm thinking of keeping my last pup out of my yorkie! |

| I would say yes, there definetly is a difference....it is more work and expense, but everything gets crazier and funnier at times. Are your first 2 still real active and zipping around all the time? My Yorkies absolutely LOVE having each other to play with. |

| I have 3 yorkies and a chihuahua girl. I am about to get a baby yorkie boy soon. I think as long as you have the space and are capable of caring for more you should consider it. It all depends on whether you are ready for another baby. I waited a while between getting each baby because I wanted to be sure I was ready for another or even if I could handle another baby. I have decided I want the baby boy. It does make a difference. I was used to a pattern with the few I had and the pattern changes for each oe you add. Each baby takes a little more of your time everyday. For feeding, potty breaks, attention a little more money for shots, food, vet bills, and things you need for him/her and so on...but on the up side a new addition brings more yorkie kisses, love and companionship than you had before (not that before was bad either). I love my babies and I couldn't imagine not having any of them here with me! I know if you feel you are ready for another baby you have thought it out and I would like to know what you decide! I wish you the best and I know whatever you do will be great! :-) Good Luck!!! ~Tru

| Thanks For Your Input! I am able to work from the confines of my home office and be with my little ones all day. So, there really wasn't much of an adjustment for my schedule when I added my second little one. And, no major health issues, so far... My current babies are very much still active - One of which I doubt will ever settle down! They rumble and tumble for hours and drop like dead batteries! But, they do have separate and totally different personalities and my concern is that they will not take too kindly to a new addition. Also, since I have one of each sex, I am worried that a duplication of either sex will cause dominance issues. Your thoughts??? |

| I am blessed with four yorkies. They all get along so well. The only time I wish I had one is on bath day, by the time you get one done, the others are chasing the bathed one around trying to pull out there bow. I don't really see any difference when you add and other yorkie to your family. I think my furbabies get as excited as I do when I bring a new furbaby home.

| well... I think your babies will do fine if they see you are comfortable with the new change. I believe animals act out of fear if they sense it from us. If we show them the baby is accepted and that they will get the same attention they seem to adjust better! If they think the baby is going to get more attention they may feel threatened. I make sure mine feel needed all the time. I think it will be fine! I am adding a male to my group. I have my male Romeo and I don't see a problem because my females dominate my house, lol. Every one of them get along because they all have me to count on and cuddle with when they want to. Each baby has their own personalities so I think the adjustment will be easier than you think. Just focus on how and what each baby wants from you. It is easy once you adjust...here is how my babies are: Lexie is not a cuddly one and prefers being away from me. Romeo is sometimes cuddly and kissy but on his own terms. Juliet is my lap baby and wants to be around me 24-7. I don't force things on them and they behave well (within reason, lol). I wish you the best!!! :-)

| I have two yorkies and I am getting a third in one year. It will be more work but i am home during the day. We are waiting untill we move into our next house because it will be bigger. I think as long as you have the space and the income that you can afford the exxtra expenses you will be fine. I cant waitto get my next one. I am getting a smaller one this time and have already found a breeder.

| Throw Back Baby??? Okay... You've all convinced me - IT's FINE and the MORE THE MERRIER!!! Now for my next question. I'm one of those persons that hates topic changes within a thread - So, I apologize in advance if you are like me in this aspect. But, it's a need to know... Well, I've decided on "Cupcakes of Plenty" AKA - Cupcake. Her Mom is 5.5lbs and her Dad is 4.5lbs. Cupcake, which is currently 9 weeks and a day is 2.8lbs (that's where the "Plenty" came from in her name ). Researching a pup's estimated adult size and weight is so mind boggling, but what I have figured is that she is definately going to be on the larger end scale of the breed - Possibly even a throw back baby. Even based on the two babies I have now, Cupcake tips the scales by leaps and bounds. My Muffin at a weight of 3.7lbs and my Biscuit at 4.4lbs. Would you agree with my thought on Cupcake being 7-9lbs and clothes sizes of S-M? I'd like to get started on her wardrobe... |

| I have only one Yorkie and a Beagle, I would so love to have another, but am afraid that I would't have the time to give each one the time and care that they deserve. Wow, I hadn't realized just how many people on here that were parents to multiple Yorkie babes. Way to go everyone, It tells me a little something about the size of your hearts.

| I have four wonderful little Yorkies (Emilee, Gidget, Joey and Izzie) who love each other dearly. Very seldom do they get on each others nerves. Have never had them fight. I also have a Golden Retriever (Penny) and all are in the house. The Yorkies get on her nerves once in a while, but she is never mean to them.

| Yes, I agree I think she'll be in that weight range. As for clothes size, I don't know all I have is 4 pounders. I have three (a male and two females) and they all get along great. I would be a little worried about adding another male because of dominance issues. As another poster mentioned, bath time takes a little longer, grooming must be done more frequently because of all the playing, bows don't remain in their hair very long, and since I haven't got the hang of walking three yet, I have to have a helper along. All this said, I don't regret having three for a minute and, if I thought my husband would let me, I would probably add another! |

| It's so funny that you should ask this question. I too have wanted to add a third dog to our family. I also have a Biscuit and a Muffin (too funny) and would name a third one Cupcake. We must be on the same wavelength or just love pasteries!! My husband has put his foot down on a third dog for the time being. We have a Maltese and a Yorkie and I was thinking about getting a Morkie. I guess I'll just have to keep working on my honey to give in to this because I think it would be awesome to have 3 babies! |
