| ![]() I'm going to visit hubby's parents soon and we're bringing our pooches with us. I would like to buy a play pen for them to fit COMFORTABLY in. I don't want them to be squished or crowded. I would only put them in the play pen when we go out to dinner or leave the house and go someplace that dogs are not allowed. But the real reason I want a play pen is beause hubby and I bought his parents a beautiful female chocolate Lab. She a sweetie and a big mush ![]() ![]() Any suggestions on where I can buy a nice, big, roomy play pen? I also don't want to spend a TON of money on it -- hopefully under $80 if possible. But money is not a HUGE issue -- the most important thing is that they aren't crowded in the play pen in case we're out of the house for 4 or 5 hours (i.e., if we go to dinner and the movies). I'd hate for them to be uncomfortable and crowded. ![]() All suggestions are greatly appreciated. ![]() PS - Codie is 6 lbs and Tia is a little under 3 lbs.

| ![]() Rob got Coco this hugggee plastic playpen at Baby's R' us and it was like $80. What a great investment. I use that for her and Maximus to play in sometimes and he's bigger than Codie. It's great because you can make it into a circle or make a half circle against a wall or you can even take the pieces apart to form your own shape play pen. I would HIGHLY recommend that.

![]() Yes, I saw the thread. But I don't know if that x-pen is roomy enough. Do all x-pens come in the same size or do they sell wider ones or even longer ones? I just want to make sure my babies have enough room while they're in there. My dogs have never been crated or kept in a small, confined space. I don't want them to be scared or feel uncomfortable -- that's my main concern. I know I could just go to Babies R Us and get an x-pen, but I want a ROOOOMY one. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() Here is another option from Pet Edge. We have one in the kitchen and take it outside as well. You could put two together for more room. It is important to find one you think will be most comfortable for your little furbabies. If they have never been caged or crated they may not like it at first but just give them a little time to get used to it before you make your visit. Good luck finding one! ![]() http://www.petedge.com/shopping/prod...uctID=515&AS=1

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() I have a dog playpen that zips open on one end so they can go in and out by themselves if you want them to. It's called Home n Go puppy pen.

| ![]() Well, I have or have had all of the above ![]() I think the metal expens are the easiest transport and still give enough floor space for 2 small dogs. Be sure to get one tall enough, so they don't climb out. The metal pens fold up flat. The plastic pen gives more floor space but it is bulkier, and not as easy to take up and down. It's also heavier to carry. The doggy playpen doesn't give much space and it says on there not to leave dogs alone in it. Like I said, for your needs (most portable and roomy) I vote for metal expen. good luck |

| ![]() I ordered my from www.dog.com. They have pens 60 and under depending on the size you are looking for. I ordered it and got it a couple days later, their shipping is really quick. You can get a pen that can have extra panels added to it. I have two playpens, the other one that I got was from petco and it was much more expensive.

| ![]() I just got both of my expens last night and I must say they are really really nice. Hubby put them together (as you can connect them to make one big pen) and it is HUGE . . . Tiger and Nika will surely have a roomy place to play while I am sewing . . . I highly recommend it! |
