Have your babies ever had reactions to poison ivy? I first thought my little man JPop had an allergy reaction to the new spring-time grass popping up, but now I'm thinking it looks more like poison ivy. I'm alergic to it, so I know how it looks, and unfortunately I know how it feels. I didn't take him to the vet yet, but I did call him Sat. and he gave me some cortizone spray. I does seem to help, but I feel so sorry for him. I'll let him out on the deck, but he's not going back outside till this goes away. If anyone else has experience this and has suggestions, please let me know.

Dog's are (usually) not affected by poison ivy, but you can have a reaction from petting a dog that has been in contact with poison ivy.

My vet said the same thing; dogs don't usually have reactions to poison ivy....but, I changed laundry detergent once and he broke out in a rash and when I changed back it went away. If they have sensitive skin, I would think they could react to anything we do. And, yes, I think when I get poison ivy, its from my cats. We live next to a wooded lot.
