| a new addition!! Hello all! I have a 14 month old male named Hershey. Well, as yall can imagine, he is spoiled rotten and has had our undying and undivided attention for a whole year. we hate leaving him home alone because he looks so sad in the window so we have finally gotten a new addition: her name is Coco and we just introduced them yesterday. My dilemma is, Hershey the love of my life seems SOOO mad at me! he wouldn't even let me hold him yesterday! You see, when i come home in the driveway, he's always perched on the couch. when i get out of the car and he sees its me, you see his ears go back and he starts doing a little crazy dance and excited squeeky noises and races to the door and well cover me in his kisses the second i sit down!! well, he did this just like any other time. he raced to the door to start dancing for me BUT when he saw i was holding Coco, he looked shocked and even sad and ran away!! what am i supposed to do?? any advice? please help me! |

| He just needs to adjust to the new addition. If your praising the puppy and he is right there, make a fuss over him too so he doesn't feel left out. It's just an adjusting stage. They will be the best of friends in a few months. Good Luck!!!!! |

| Welcome to YT!!!! Hershey has been the only furbaby in the house, so yea he's upset, but soon he will learn that you brought Coco hope to be his friend. You need to give both lots of attention, I'm sure in no time they will become best friends. Good Luck to you

| to Yorkie Talk! I LOVE the names of your furbabies!! I think it just takes time for them to adjust...it is just like bringing a real baby home and your toddler getting jealous! Just make sure you give Hershey as much attention as you give Coco!
