how many of you have yorkies with curly hair on their backs? Starsky is seems different from a normal yorkie. He is long and skinny, doesn't have a whole lot of hair and it is very curly on his back. I saw another yorkie today and he had lots of hair and it was very straight, he had a short body and a shorter nose. Are there different types of yorkies?

We have all talked a lot about the differences in Yorkies -- they can range from a couple pounds to 12 - 14 - 16 pounds, etc. They are different colors.
And, they certainly have several different coats. Some do have thinner hair, some more wavy, others have thicker hair, some have very straight hair, some have longer noses and some shorter noses........etc. etc. etc.

It's hard to believe they are all the same breed ----but they are!

You have a cute little dog. He looks quite a bit like mine.

Cruise around YorkieTalk - look at a lot of different pictures and read some of the posts regarding size and coats, etc. You'll be surprised at how different so many of these little dogs are.
