| Brain / Bowel Connection Well, Ringo hasn't been doing so good lately regarding his pooping. Up until this week he pretty much pooped at the same times. When he first woke up at 5:45 and then again sometime around 2:00pm. Since I knew when he would go I would take him out at those times. Well, this past week he started going in the house at various times. He won't even make an attempt to get near the door. He goes wherever I can't see him. These little guys are quick. It's like the urge hits him and he runs. My question is this....not really sure how to word it....but at what age can they actually control their bowels? I mean when will he be able to signal me he has to go and actually hold it? I know I'm not making any sense...but you know how little kids are? They wait until the last minute to tell you and then it's too late. I don't want to jinx myself by saying this, but he's doing good in the pee dept. He doesn't actually warn me to go out...I just take him out often. I guess he has me trained. He does ring a little bell at the door, but I think that's mostly to go play and try and catch moths at night. LOL Last edited by Ringo; 04-08-2005 at 06:16 AM. |
