Hi All,
I was so happy to find this site and find the discussion forums. I have found the perfect place to share my joy of being a Yorkie mom. Here is my story: Last June after retiring early, an opportunity presented itself to adopt a little Yorkie. I had always wanted a little dog and the timing was perfect. Jack came to us in rough shape, but a little tender loving care and a trip to the groomer was all that was needed. He has brought such joy to our lives. Of course just having one is not enough so we started looking for "Jill" several months ago and finally found her. We can bring her home on April 20th when she will be 12 weeks old. We can't wait.

Proud to be a Yorkie Mom...but my friends think I am goofy!!!

Hi Welcome to YT, this is such a great site,you are going to love it here and you will probably become addicted,like most of us.Everyone is so friendly and always willing to give advice and help! Jack is a gorgeous boy,but you have to post some photos of him as the avator is so small,i could only just see him! I cant wait to see photos of Jill,you will be able to add her to the 'YT Nursery',and regulary post photos of her so we can watch her grow.Congratulations on becoming a Yorkie Momma!

Hi and Welcome, Jack and Jill's mom! Isn't is just great to be owned by a Yorkie!!

I know just what you mean - my hubby had to retire unexpectedly and has some health problems, so we got Rowdy to be his companion. Just the other day I heard my hubby talking to someone on the phone and I heard him say, "Rowdy is the light of our life!!!". I was so surprised and not surprised at the same time. Rowdy certainly IS the light of our life (our granddaughter, notwithstanding!

- but I WAS surprised to hear my hubby say it to someone other than ME!

And just like you, we just got Rex (12 weeks old) - Rowdy's brother one year later (same parents). I can tell you that two is definitely double the JOY!!!

Welcome again - but a warning....... YorkieTalk is ADDICTING!!!

Welcome glad you found this site! Jack and Jill what cute names! I retired early too and got Cali and I am totally in love with her and I have 9 year old Pom but I really want another Yorkie.

Thank you all for welcoming me. Yes, this can be addicting. My hubby wonders why I don't mind if he goes out for a bike ride without me. I don't dare tell him why. Although he is as smitten as I with our Jack. He made me promise when we got him that he would never be caught with a little guy on the end of a leash and most of all that he would not sleep with us. Guess what???
