| Ahhhhhh I took my 6 mth old yorkie to the groomers for the first time, see we have her and a great dane they LOVE to play together outside we have a huge yard and it has a 6 foot wood privacy fence. She had really long hair and it gotto the point where I had to bath her twice a week, and she still looked icky. So I gave in and took her to the groomers, and what I got back was SCARY, she has almost no hair it almost looks like they buzz cut her, I said puppy cut not butcher cut...... Shes still my sweet girl but she looks terrible I was so upset she has no face hair either.... Not even a pony tail on top of her head they cut her hair almost flat on top. Oh raised serious H*LL and did'nt have to pay for the cut, but goodness I hope it grows back fast! Anybody else have a bad experience! |

| I'm Sorry I am a groomer and I am sorry you had a bad experience. There are sooo many cute clips Yorkies can have. Maybe next time you go to a groomer try taking a picture along of what you would like. Her hair will grow back before you know it.

| Yes, I think we have all had bad experiences- If I go to a groomer- I make a 3X5 card with a drawn picture of a Yorkie- I mark in red what they are allowed to touch!! If they touch anything else- of course I never go back- and I always ask to see her before I pay. I also take a picture of exactly what I want her to look like- and ask if they can do it- I have been burned so many times. The experience has actually taught me to do the same when I go to the hair dressers- it makes sense. If they cannot do what you ask- you can just walk away! One nice thing- they are still so cute either way and their hair does grow pretty fast-- I understand- the experience is tramatizing:0

| I think all groomers have a different perspective on a puppy cut. You have to be very specific about what you want done. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. I hope it grows back quickly. |

| Believe me - with three dogs - I have had some bad cuts. I always pay. And - I don't jump on my groomer, but point out what I don't like about the cut...too short here, too short there, etc. And, she listens. Usually, after a couple visits, we get things worked out, and we start getting the cut that I want. Nevertheless, at times a cut is still a little shorter than I want, but what the heck, it lasts longer and grows back quickly. My new pup hasn't been to a groomer yet. I am able to keep him in a "good enough" puppy cut and he's looking good. I can say that I certainly feel sorry for my groomer the first time she gets this pup. He is definitely not very cooperative and is a total wiggleworm. Grooming him the first few times is going to be very difficult at best. I plan to be quite forgiving the first few times we go there. But, we'll get it worked out just fine --eventually!!!! Carol Jean |

| Oh I'm sure she's super cute! You might want to put a sweater on her. They get cold with the puppy cut. I was in shock when Princess had her first puppy cut. The good news is, it grows back.
