| What is the reaction?? What reaction do you get from people (work, family, friends, strangers) when they find out you're having a big birthday party for your furbaby? My friend at work made a 6 foot banner for her birthday with her picture on it and it's adorable. So people at work were curious as to what it was, so I showed some of them. I think people at my work think I'm crazy..lol..they were like, "You need to have a kid A.S.A.P." I told them that she is my kid and that I am doing everything for Coco that I would for my human children. That she will not come second or third to my future human kids and they just looked at me like I'm from another planet. Why is that? I mean, Coco is my first baby so why wouldn't I have a birthday party? Anyone else get this reaction from others when they find out about birthday parties for dogs and other things you do for your babies?

| YEP, everyone in my extended family were always questioning the way I was with my babies. But now 3 of them have little pups and are right along with me. I think once they realized how much they become apart of your family and share their personalities with you, they get it.

| That is very very true, they do need furbabies. They just don't know how much happiness these little ones bring us. I don't know. It doesn't seem THAT crazy to me to care for your furbabies the way they deserve to be cared for.

| Most people just think I'm nuts. If they had a little baby themselves they would understand.

| I just don't see why people look down on it, instead of thinking positively about it. That these babies are so forgiving and they bring people so much happiness, not just owners, so don't they deserve the best? I just think people don't understand how much love you can have for non-human babies. Many have grown up to have pets that sleep outside, play by themselves and eat old/stale food from a dingy plastic bowl. Poor babies.

| People think I'm crazy too. Even my family. They didn't understand the need for a birthday party... and they think that most of the clothes are ridiculous, but too bad for them, if it makes me happy then I'm gonna do it.

| In the past I would have been one of those people that would have said 'she is nuts'. Now I have my own furbaby (who I adore more than I ever thought possible) and we plan on having a birthday party for her 1st B-day in April. I've already picked out a party dress for her and started a guest list. Guess I'm nuts now too |

| Don't feel bad about what people think. Keep doing all you do for your little girl. These little babies bring us so much joy that they deserve all the love and attention we can give them. My Nikko will be 1 this April and you better believe I will be throwing him a little party and baking him a special doggie cake. He is my sweet boy and I don't care how crazy people may think I am. Have fun at the party and make sure you take plenty of pictures because we would all love to see them.

| We are planning a party for Tucker's 1st birthday. I have real kids so they don't think I need kids to concentrate on. They just don't understand how important he is to our family. Ahhh, their loss.

| I tried telling them that I don't need kids to focus my attention on, I have plenty of attention that a little furball at home deserves. I'm sure having kids will be great one day, but for now I am enjoying my coco-mo with her long tongue-ie kisses, with her bushy hair in the mornings, that looks so frazzles, and her morning breath..lol..I love getting an ear/notril-ful of licks early in the morning. No kid can compete with that. They just scream for breakfast, while watching cartoons..loool.
