| I can't help with the wiggling, but I put in a small latex band(made for topnots) then the barette or clip.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I started when Cali was real young putting bows in her hair to get her use to it. Now I say Bow and she knows it's time to put her bow in. She sits pretty good now and I say good bow the whole time I'm putting it in and she gets a treat afterward. I sue bows with latex bands. She gets one put in every morning and I take it out at night.

| I used to use clips on Pippa when her hair was to short for a topknot but now its grown she gets a band in. She is used to having it done now and sits really well.

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | I started as soon as I brought her home, so now when I put the band in, she just lays her head down and lets me do it. I go to the baby section at walmart and buy the baby bows and hair asses. for her. After I put the band in, I slip the clip in the middle of the pony tail, it seems to stay till I take it out at night, then I massage her little head. You would be surprised what your dog will do if you start them as a pup! |

| When they are young (and the hair is short) it's hard to keep anything in. I found tiny butterfly clips worked the best. Now Shelby is a big girl with longer hair and the latex bands are great. Last edited by shelbysmom; 03-02-2006 at 03:10 PM. |

| I use little bands made for orthodontal work. They come in varying strengths, but all are smaller than what would fit on your pinky until stretched. Even though my kids have been out of braces for at least 4 years now I seem to still have plenty around. The orthodontist was always changing sizes and sending them home with a new pack!! |
