| Welcome Newbies!! Hope you love YT as much as we do! We started our Toto on the pee pee pad as soon as we brought her home at 16 weeks. Our method was just constantly watching her and every time there was a "hit" there was a celebration! Didn't take her long to learn that ... yayyyy ... celebrate AND a little treat! She will be three in July and we still do it! Since we don't have to watch her all the time ... if we don't happen to see her do the deed ... she hunts us up and announces it! She also doesn't like to see a spot where she has already peed ... got pretty expensive putting down a dry one after every little pee. Now, I cut them in 4 equal squares and just put a little square over the little pee spot! She loves it and I love the savings!! Is she a tad spoiled? Maybe just a little!!

| WELCOME!!! Cant wait to see some pics!! Just pic her up and put her on the pad if you see her doing it. And when you get her to do it on the pad, make sure to give her lots of praise and maybe even a little treat! That way she knows that she did something she was suppose to! LOL Welcome to yorkie talk! Hope you like it here!

| Cassie did this too, but its true they don't like going on a dirty pad . Sometimes even covering the spots with a paper towel will help stretch your pads. If there is poop on the pad Cassie does not like to reuse pad unless it is removed. I personally have a pad upstairs and one down . I would not put down any more pads because the more you put down the more they will use and will still go to that spot even if you decide now that you want to eliminate one at a later date. Just keep praising her everytime she goes on pad and keep on showing her what you want her to do. She will come around with consistantcy. I also put a piece of clear plastic under the box that I have her pee pad in. If she does slip it is there to catch it. Works Great. |
