Nutering tomarrow! Luigi is going tomarrow to be nutered. I have gone back and read many of the threads & posts about it! I am a liitle nervous, but I am ok!!I know there is always a chance for something to go wrong, its surgery. But I feel confident that everything will be ok!!! But I am a bit concerned for Luigi. He hasn't been acting like himself. He wouldn't eat this morning, and has been sleeping all day! Waking up to only go potty outside! Its a bit warmer outside and usually when its warm out, he wants to go for a walk. But not today. I got himto eat this afternoon by plalying with his food. I would throw it on the floor and he'd chase aftrer it. But soon lost interst. So he has only eaten 1/2 of what he would normallly eat. I have a feeling that he senses that something isn't quite right. I think he senses that little bit fear in me so therefor he too is a little nervous! I hope he eats soon, cuz no more food or water after 10:00 tonite! He is drinking water like he normally would! I just hope he's ok!! Have any of you had this happen before your little ones surgery?

Poor Luigi. This happened with SImon before his neutering too. I have come to believe it was because he could sense how worried I was. I was so scared for him and he knew it. I would suggest you just comfort him as much as you can. Simon was so pitiful when I brought him home too, he pouted a bit and slept a lot but he was just fine after a day of relaxation and lots of new toys (he was my first baby). Luigi will be fine and you will too but I know it is scary. Give him lots of love as I'm sure you do. Let everyone know how it goes.

Re: Neutering (DONT WORRY) Oh! You must be scared! I feel bad for you! Don't worry though. I am sure Luigi just senses your fear. He'll be back to his old self in no time. After my baby Riley was neutered, he came home and slept. But the next day, he was running around the house like a mad man, which happens to be his normal self. I'm sure Luigi will be fine. Hang in there and I'll say a prayer tomorrow fro the little guy!

I'm sure things will go well for Luigi. My daughter, Mandy, called this morning & she had just dropped her 3 1/2 lb Chihuahua, Paisley, off at the vets to be spayed. She, too, said it was so sad. These little ones sure can pull at our hearts!! We will keep you & Luigi in our thoughts today!!!

Luigi is now home!!! But he's been whimpering a little. I feel terrible for him. The Dr. said he did great though. She called around noon and said he woke right up and was barking and wagging his tail. But now he is very groggy. He drank a little water and ate a tad bit. But is sleeping now. We don't even have to go back. His stitches will dissolve. I am so releaved its over. Mandy & Luigi

Thank you everyone for the kind words!!! Its greatly appreciated!!! Luigi is settled in for the night!! (I hope!!) Today he also got 9 teeth pulled. Poor baby! And he was also microchipped. But I have to tell you what a little sh#@!!! he is at times. At the vet, he was doing so well not licking his stitches, that he didn' t have to have that cone looking thing around his neck. Yea!!! But now that he is home, I have caught him 3 or 4 times so far trying. So I gave him one of his bones to chew on (the nonedible ones) and he was doing good for awhile. Then he decided to hide it in between his legs while he was all curled up. So I thought he was licking his bone, but nope, he was licking himself. He tried to fool me. Can you believe that??? He thought he could outwit me even though he is still groggy and in a bit of pain. They are so smart!!!! Mandy & Luigi
