Am getting another puppy but have concerns . . . My darling hubby finally agreed (although not in so many ways) for me to get another yorkie. I want a female companion for Tiger and possibly breeding the 2 together a few times just so I can have more and share with my family. My concern though is that Tiger is going on 5 months and I most likely will take home an 8 week old female puppy who is not crate or potty trained as good as he is. If I let her run free in Tiger's domain (our Laundry room) during the day whilst he is confined to a crate (also in the laundry room) do you think he'd be so jealous and possibly bark all day long when I am at work? Do you think this is a good age gap? Or should I wait a while longer . . . Any tips on how to handle this would really be great before I commit to getting another one . . .

I think that everythign will be just fine. It will take some time, but it will be ok But, if you will have male and female he will mark when she has a heat. This is my plan by the way. i am geting in 2 weeks male yorkie, and after some tyme female. i know people who did it and they not regret at all.

| What a great hubby........still trying to talk mine into another..no luck yet! I think they will be fine too, it just depends on her dog. I would bet that my little guy would be jealous at first because he is the only child, but I am sure that the companionship of another Yorkie would soon phase out the jealous. Keep us posted and please post pictures too!

I think they will be fine also. but I would not bring home an 8 week old puppy. Any reputable breeder would keep thier pups until they are 12 weeks old. These little guys need to stay with thier mommies till then.

Generally dogs all ages get along very well together. However, you can just plop them together from day one. Sometimes it takes a week or two for any animals in your house to accept and get used to a new little pet. You should be there supervising for a while --- so that you can be sure there are no problems. Carol Jean
