| I don't have a yorkie on my own.. so.. this is just my opinion. but I don't think it is never late to go for dog trainings. My friend's yorkie even went to classes at petsmart even he is over 5 yrs old.. and it was helpful!

| In my opinion yes, obedience training does help regardless of the breed. It helps you to learn how to communicate with them so they understand what exactly it is you want from them. Ted has been through obedience and Toby will begin next week at 14 weeks.

| Obedience classes or Puppy Classes definitely worth the time and money! Aggie was bitten by a dog so the classes really help her to learn how to socialize with other dogs again. Of course, as a pet parent, you also learn how to communicate with your pet so that YOU become the Alpha dog, not them. Go for it. Except I'd recommend you to ask your vet to suggest any workshops instead just going to PetSmart (haven't heard too many good things about them, or Petco lately...) |

| I think its more like obedience classes work on the OWNER really well, especially for first time doggie owners. I dont think any dog is untrainable, just the owner I think alot of people think that obedience classes will automatically turn your dog into a good dog, you have to work at it and keep commited to training consistantly every single day. Its a constant on going process for my terrier.

| I highly recommend taking her to obedience school. Missy, now 5 months, has already graduated from her 1st class. You may want to try to find a class of just small dogs. Or find a trainer to come to your home. I didn't feel comfortable going to PetsMart for the classes. We were there last week while a class was going on and there was not one small dog in this particular class. SECRET: YOU MUST PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE - OR IT WON'T WORK AND YOU'LL BE WASTING YOUR MONEY.
