| Mason Is Driving Me Crazy!!!! He is driving me nuts. I buy him all these toys, stuffed, plastic, ropes with balls attached etc. and he has torn up every one of them..the stuffed animals he chews a hole in them within a day and takes out all the stuffing, the plastic toy with a rope (kinda looks like a retrieving toy) he chewed the top off...and i just bought it last night and was torn up last night..I can not get him anything cute and fun without him tearing it up within a day. Are there ANY toys out there that will withstand his abuse? Any suggestions would be grteat. Im going to petsmart tomorrow so give me some ideas please!!! |

| I am watching this thread like a HAWK Dreama is the same way, Kristy, and it's driving me insane!! I had all these lovely toys for 8 month old Wosie who is very gentle on them and she plays all day with them unharmed. Then Dreama the 4 year old gets here with her LARGE SHARP POINTY TEETH and VOILA!! Wosie needs new toys!! If ANYONE comes up with indestructible and fun toys besides bones, please let me know! Dreama is afraid of anything that moves on it's own, so that won't work.

| My dogs dont tear up their toys but one thing that I have found that is really indestructable is this rubber nylabone that is bacon flavored.

| Gracie is hard on her toys, but she has yet to rip apart the "Mean Kitty" canvas toy made by Fat Cat. Don't know why it has not been shredded yet, it's her favorite. She plays with it constantly. You think it would be destroyed my now!!! Give it a try, if you have not tried it already and let us know if you find anything good at petsmart tomorrow!!!!

| I found a pretty good one at Petsmart last week. I'm not at home so I can't look at the name of it but I think the brand is supposed to be more sturdy toys. They had green and I think orange and it's just basically shaped like a person, kind of like gumby, and the stitching is all around the outer part. There is material that folds over all around the outer edge and that is stitched. Kinda hard to explain. To me the ones that have stitching down the middle right where the squeaker is are really easy for them to destroy. This one also makes noise but it's not really a squeak more like a honk. So far Samson has not destroyed it and it's been almost a week so I think it's a winner. I tried looking on Petsmart.com for the exact name but I didn't see it on there. You could always just stop buying toys and give him empty plastic bottles. It would sure save a lot of money. Samson has moved on to 2-liters and gallon milk jugs!! |

| Nylabone's and Kong's Nylabone's work great...just make sure you get the one for aggressive chewers (they come in different hardnesses). They also come in different flavors. I've also found that Kong's hold up wonderfully. You'll eventually have to replace the Nylabone, but I haven't had to replace any of the Kong's. And you can put treats in them, too. When Luci was a puppy, she'd have a stuffed toy for about an hour before it ended up in the trash with its insides on the outside. Now she just shakes her stuffed toys so hard I think her head is going to pop off, but she doesn't chew them up anymore (she's 2).
