| Is Your Yorkie a Therapy Dog? I was curious if anyone has involved their pup in this very worthwhile activity.

| Yes, I have 5 service dogs but no certified therapy dogs. The process for therapy dogs is actually more involved thn for service dogs...in fact service nedd no "certification" per se under the law. Therapy dogs are wonderful and yorkies are great at it! |

I wanted to but plans kinda changed. List of info you may find helpful. http://www.clickersolutions.com/reading.htm#service Service Dog Owners/Trainers Note: At this time, there are no good clicker training resources for service dog trainers. Therefore this list, contributed primarily by Debi Davis, both a service dog owner and trainer, includes resources that will help a person become a good, well-rounded trainer. The list emphasizes training skills, dog behavior, and techniques that will help create dogs able to handle the stress of service work. | Being a nurse, that is one of the goals I have for me and Daphne is to complete the therapy dog training and then go to work, providing some emotional support to many of our chronic patients and families. Great topic! |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Only have time for a quick note, try a google search for Love on a Leash. Bailey is a certified therapy dog. I'll try to put some sources up tomorrow when I have more than a minute. Dee |
