| How soon? How soon can you find out how many babies a pregnant yorkie is carrying?! Oh one more thing.... yorkies have sex.. don't mean that a female yorkie is definitely pregnant, right? Is it easier for dogs to get pregnant? I mean.. some human have really rough time having babies..

| I was told by my vet you can have an ultrasound down after 20 days of gestation/first hook. I am going in tomorrow to have Bridgets done...wish us luck for a smallish litter, dont want to overwhelm the poor girl the first time around.

| I recommend you get an ultrasound done. I took days off from work when I thought Jasmine was ready to deliver and when she went over her due date I took her to the vet. She had gained two pounds, had milk and the whole nine yards...but there were no puppies. She had a false pregnancy. Going forward, I will take her to the vet to get her checked out before hand. |

| ultrasound is usually best when done 25 days into a pregnancy palpitation is reliable 20-30 days - never to be done by a novice you can damage a fetus x-ray 45 days plus - I do x-rays at day 52 getting the most accurate read but you can still be fooled...kids can hide under the rib cage. hope this helps
