| Flying w/ Puppy Hi all! I read through the whole thread on flying with a yorkie, but I didn't get my question answered. I have done most of the checking into flying with a dog. I am going to be flying to NC (from AZ) and then flying back with my puppy. I know this may seem silly, but I am wondering, is she going to go poop and stink up the whole plane? That would be so embarrasing! Besides not feeding her a couple hours before the flight is there anything else I can do to prevent...that? Is there any other tips in flying with these little guys? I am nervous for her and myself. |

| Sorry I can not help, as I have never flown with a dog on my lap. But it isn't a long ride and if we are talking about a puppy, maybe you can poop and pee him/her just before the flight.. Like you would do when they are newborns..

| We flew a couple of times. Spookie always sleepswhen she is in the car, so the plane was not any diff. The flights were 4-5 hrs long and she was excellent. If she poops, it will not be too hard to wash her in the bathroom. Take some pads/towels/etc and keep an eye out on her. Do not forget to notify the airline which flights you are taking, because there is a 2 dog carry-on limit. And if passangers complain about anything at all call the stewardess and let her deal with the situation. Do not argue with anyone on your own. That is my take-home lesson after I almost beat up a prick for talking too much s**t about my baby. And that would most definitely land me in a whole lot of problems. |
