| Being Prepared... I was just responding to a post regarding post-surgical collars, etc. and it made me think to share a tip. In pre-covid times my husband and I made at least two trips a year between our home in Florida and our families homes in NY and PA. (Certainly hope to be able to resume soon!) We stay a minimum of two weeks for each trip, and have a vet in each location. In addition, we have had to evacuate in recent years due to a hurricane. As we all know, packing for our furbabies is equally, if not more, rigorous than packing for our children. Jim and I have dealt with this by having a large file folder with all of their medical records, and their small kitten surgical collar, extra leash and harness stored in the back driver seat pocket of our van. Of course we also have a "to go" bag in the house with their medicines, supplements, pee pads, treats and more, but having their medical records, etc. with us whenever the boys are along (even for short car rides) gives us peace of mind. We know where they are if we have to access them for informational purposes, but we are never without them if our little ones were to need them while out.

We are planning to take a trip to South Carolina next month (social distancing VRBO) and I never thought about records etc. Thanks!
