| Need your opinions please Guys, I bought this little guy a few months ago. I love him dearly but something puzzles me. I bought it as a pure Yorkshire terrier but for some reason to me doesn’t seem that way. I wouldn’t trade him for anything else of course. He’s 6 months but the hair is still thin, the face also doesn’t look very Yorkie like. Is it me? I’ll add photos on him in my album |

| Merlin is really cute, and he does look like a yorkie to me. Their coats do change quite alot during their first year. My standard colored, Gus, had thick shiny hair as a puppy, and he has a cottony coat at 3 years (I would kill for a thinner, silky coat) He mats at the drop of a hat. My parti, Ty, had a very thin coat at about 6 months. At three his coat is magnificant! It reaches the floor, and barely tangles. As far as his face, he does not have that "babyface" look, just seems to have a longer snout. At any rate, he sure is a cutie!

Thank you very much for the kind and detailed reply. I have another Yorkie and she has a shorter snout and her hair at his age was already thicker and fuller hence I got a bit suspicious. Don’t get me wrong I love him I was only concerned cos I bought him as Yorkie and I’ve been doubting myself. I truly felt his not a purebred. But I’m really happy to read your comments. So there’s still hope for his coat even though he’s already 6 months th old? Thank you once again | |

| I think he looks like a Yorkie too, he’s lovely! I used to wonder about my Jake when he was still very young but he’s a Yorkie through and through. |

| You have one adorable pure yorkie. Their hair texture changes as they get older, it's a waiting game with these yorkies. You can't compare one yorkie to another, it's all about the genes of the dogs. Some have silky costs, some have cotton coats but they are still yorkies. As a owner of 4 now passed babies they all had the same face shape as Merlin has as does my yorkie recuse. Put you mind at ease, you have one adorable pure yorkie boy.

| I think sometimes we get so caught up in pure Yorkie or mixed Yorkie that we forget how loveable and adorable our little furbaby is and how special. Just love him and he'll be by your side forever. They are so loyal, loveable and non-judgmental that they just melt our hearts. |
