YT 3000 Club Member | new food IM going to put this in general since it will get more attention maybe. Chester has been on Acana dog food for several years and has done well on it. He has recently in the last few weeks not too interested in his kibble. I think the kibble might be too big for him/ He loves his wet food which he gets more of since his kidneys are not great. I have searched for a diffferent kibble for over a week and one that has a lower phosphorus level in it due to his kidneys since he needs some extra protein because the wet food does not provide that. I think Im going to the stella and chewys because if I get the frozen morsels he will get 72% moisture when it thaws out and the ingredients are great. I will just use there mixers without water every couple of days for extra protein. I had emailed them and two of them are less than .5% phosphorus which is good for his kidneys. I will do anything to help him out, I use salmon oil as well and I found out omega 6 is not good for kidney issues, which I did not know. |
