| Happy dog park day I know a lot of people don't like dog parks. I have had no bad experiences with them and go to the ones that have a small dog one. Well Callie went a lot until she was 4 or so and then we just stopped going and didn't think much of it. Well I really needed to get Joey more socialized so since today was 77 I decided today was the day and obviously Callie went to. Well its been 5 or 6 years since she has been but when she got the smell of it and knew where we were oh my goodness she was sooooo happy to the point I almost cried seeing her that happy and that upset I didn't take her before now. The vet also had put her on Metacam for her arthritis starting Tuesday and its making a big impact. She's almost 10 and didn't really run but said hi to all the dogs, walked around a bit, chilled in the shade just enjoying everything and kept an eye on her brother. She was just sooo happy. She also was not the oldest there was a 12 year old yorkie there too. Joey did so much better then I thought he didn't bark and he didn't jump on any dogs he ran and played though and got much better at dealing with dogs sniffing his butt. He would run over and check on his sister though. We were there for an hour and a half. When we got there there were 6 yorkie/ yorkie mixes. Everything just went awesome. I was so happy that both enjoyed it.

| I'm happy that your doggy park went so well. I kmow that it makes your heart soar to see them socializing with other pups and having fun. Hubby and I are taking our two rescue pups to the regular park and letting them see and hear the sounds of the big world. Toby is loving sniffing and exploring but little Tina is much more cautious. She has walked some on the leash but she gets scared easily and wants to be picked up and carried. She does not want to be picked up and carried at home so i am loving it when she stands up on my leg to be picked up. Like you, we are so happy to see even small amounts of progress.

| Piper is happy to see and greet other little dogs, but then moves along. She does, however, have a major crush on this scruffy little latino dog. And whenever she sees Lucio, she make a headlong dash for him, chases after him and even when he gets dirt in her face, Piper is all "I don't care, I looove him!" Why he makes her so happy and excited, who knows...But it surely is fun! Your day sounds wonderful and don't feel bad about not going to the park, just enjoy the times that you do...Follow the lead of your happy little ones! |
