Does anyone know of an animal shelter that is in need of toys and treats? I got some Christmas bundles and boxes for my dogs that contain mostly stuff they'll like but then also have one or two things they won't and I want to collect everything they won't use and mail it to a shelter in need. I checked the ones in my area but they mostly just had PO box addresses and they said they are rescues, not shelters so the dogs are actually in foster homes. I would really like to give to an actual shelter so the dogs with no homes can at least have some toys and treats while they wait for their forever homes!

If anyone knows of any, please post the address!

I have a local shelter that I donate to. They are located in Stroudsburg, Pa.
They can use whatever anyone has . You can call them for their address.

That would be very nice of you, this is a non funded shelter, they survive on donations, I volunteered for them 3 years ago, then I adopted my little boy and he needed me. When my last girl went to rainbow bridge I swore no more dogs, I have lost to many and it doesn't get easier. I donated everything I had for my girl plus coats, swearers, shirts, harnesses, leashes EVERYTHING from my passed girls that I had been saving. 3 truck loads of food and "stuff" plus a BIG kiddie pool my girls LOVED. The staff was so grateful. The boy I now have was an unplanned adoption, he was a gift to me from my vet, a 2.5 yo surrender baby, I had NOTHING not even a harness or leash to take him home from my vet, it was fun buying all new things for him. I now donate a case of canned food, 20 pound bag of dry food twice a month. I collect towels, blankets from family, neighbors and friends and bring them to the shelter, they are used for dogs bedding. So anything this shelter gets they are always grateful for.

When my cat passed I took a case of food to the Humane Society in my area and they were happy to receive it. They asked if I wanted a donation slip but I was to broken up about her death so I said no and just walked out.

I ordered some Christmas boxes and bundles that have mostly toys and treats my pups like but some toys are too big and some bones I won't let my dogs have because I feel they're for bigger dogs. They also contain some treats I've tried before but my dogs don't like them. So I definitely want to donate them rather than just throw them out. I'm going to mail the box out by Friday :)
