| Tea bag worries! Help, my 4 month old puppy has eaten a tea bag! She threw up and ran around hyper. She did eat and drank and as I'm writing this she has just laid down on my lap! Should I be concerned? Has anyone had this happen to them? |

| I would call the pet poison hotline or your vet/emergency vet.

| That's a new one to me. You could phone vet just as a question & see what they say.

| When she threw up, did you see the tea bag or any tea in the vomit, how long after she ate it did she throw up. In any case a call to your vet should have been the FIRST thing to do. Always better to be safe then sorry.

| Thank you so much for the info. Harley-Quinn is doing great today. She only threw up the one time and she ate, drank and did her business so I think we averted any poisoning. Mommy on the other hand slept with one eye open all night worrying about her! |

| I am happy to hear Harley-Quinn is doing well today. My friend's baby girl ate a tea bag and was very sick, but she recovered. She had to go to the ER. Here is her thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ast-night.html

| I was so glad it went as well as it did. After reading up on how tea bags could be so toxic to dogs I was really worried, but luckily Harley didn't get all of those symptoms I read about. I think we really lucked out. Now I check and recheck to make sure there is nothing she can get to. |

| Was this a Tea bag with the staple & string ? If yes & she ate those things & did not throw them up then she is not out of the woods as the staple can cut her intestines & the string can strangulate her intestines. If it was just a tea bag without those things then she should be ok by now. |
