| Poop in the house wherever Gidget has gotten really good about telling me when she need to pee. She'll get my attention by snipping at my hands if I'm sitting or tugging at my pant legs if I'm standing. Do I take her to her puppy apt bathroom, she goes right in and pees. Gets lots of praise and a treat. I keep her on a leash within eye sight so she doesn't have to try to find me to let me know she needs to go. Still waiting on the time when she'll find her puppy apartment on her own and just go. BUT, she will get out of my sight for 10 seconds and poop wherever she is standing. She has even been on leash and pooped at the feet. When I put her in the puppy apartment, I leave her in until she poops. But the other morning, I left her in for about an hour, decided she didn't need to poop and she walked 10 feet away and pooped on the floor. She's not on a regular eating schedule so it's hard to predict when she needs to poop. BUT if I take her out for a walk, she poops almost immediately--no scheduled time just when I think we both need a walk. Any suggestions? |

| Mine is the same way. Pretty good about peeing outside, but will NOT poop outside! Unless we are on a walk. So I try to walk him once in the morning and once in the aft., then he's pretty much good to go for the rest of the day! Maybe the answer is regularly scheduled walks? I make sure to do this especially if we are going to visit family or friends. I just walk him first so I know he won't poop in their houses, which he would otherwise love to do!
