| Hello!!!! I am new to this forum, and look forward to learning about yorkies from all of you! I also look forward to speaking to all of you! My husband and I have been looking for a female yorkie puppy to add to our family. I have been researching this breed, and came across your website. I was delighted to find a forum dedicated to yorkies! We have been having trouble trying to find a reputable yorkie breeder by where we live. We live in South Jersey, close to Philly. Can anyone give me some names of reputable and trustworthy breeders in our area? Also, can you advise me on what is a good price for a puppy from a breeder? I have seen some prices in the thousands?! I also have read all of the comments about teacup yorkies. I hope I say this right....I am looking for a tiny female yorkie that I am considering making her a therapy dog. My husband and I are also planning to bring this dog wherever we go. Is there a certain way to ask a breeder for this description of a puppy? Any comments and information will be greatly appreciated! Thank you all!!! |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome to YT - so glad you found us ! Searching can truly be tough but I must say: I'm really glad you're being so picky and diligent bc it will pay off vs just buying from the first yorkie breeder you find. Have you check YTCA yet for breeders in your area? Many breeders on there will fly their yorkies to you in cabin for a reasonable fee. Price - depends on area too. But you should be able to get a decent yorkie for anywhere from $800-$1500 or so. You may be able to find a good one for even less. This may be a helpful thread for you too: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ent-guide.html
