| You're Home!! And on the other side of guilty when leaving...(oh my yes!) How are you greeted when you get home--whether gone for five minutes or after working all day? Piper has her little beak in the crack of the door as I open it, but turns and jumps on couch immediately; she "smiles" and wiggles and bounces, then frantically grabs a little sausage to give me! Nothin' better than coming home to that girl-o-mine!! |

| Mickey screams and yells and scratches at the door as soon as he hears the car. He is almost hysterical until I pick him up and love on him and then he settles down and lies in my lap. This is every time even if I am only gone 5 minutes or 2 hours. Poor baby!!

| Mickey I know what you mean when you say "poor Baby" I have been so frightened at the way Joey screams and jumps up and down in his pen and even chews at the metal to get outhe is so hysterical as well. . Even after I let him out after I bring in all the groceries he can't settle down for quite a while. It is so hard to even pick him up cause he won't hold still and keeps running and jumping up. I thought for sure he would have a heart attack he gets too wound up but he must have a strong heart as he is over 6 years old now and still gets this upset!

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Well we have a pack, that makes a difference. Time away does ramp greetings up. But their is an order, the alpha male gets to greet me first then vying for second or third spot are the other two. I try to discourage too enthusiastic greetings.

| My Yorkie (male, 14 months old, Mr. Bean O) goes nuts when I come home. I sometimes go into the cellar for a while to workout or work on a project and I get an awesome greeting. If I am gone longer than a half hour his greetings are even longer and more intense. He will inundate me with kisses non stop. First he waits for me to sit either on the floor or on my chair then he attacks me. He jumps onto my lap and kisses and kisses, takes a break (about 3-4 seconds) then repeats. He does about 4-5 such kissing attacks. It is funny. He shows so much love it is incredible. After he settles down I go to the bathroom to wash off the heavy layer of kisses, smudge, tongue smears off my face. hahahha. I look forwards to always coming home. I think people in relationships would be really jellous of the way my Yorkie treats me. Humans to humans relationships don't come with unconditional love like the Yorkies give. What a companion my Yorkie is. |

| lol, well if I step outside for a minute like getting something out of the car, I'll hear Kimchi scurry to the door and holler/bark/scream X_x. When coming home, it depends on if I have done some shopping (which I usually buy at least a few things). She used to be very proper about when folks come home, when she was younger. She would have her happy barks but once we come inside, she'll go to her bedding to the side and out of the way where she would wait until we finished putting stuff up or bring things in and then greet us.... But ever since last Christmas when I spoiled her terribly by bring new toys home almost every day and often through this year, she has forgo patiently waiting to the side and will about dive into the grocery bags if they are placed on the floor. If they are not on the floor and on the kitchen table, she'll hover below expectantly. The more bags there are the more likely there's something for her, this is what she thinks. There was one time that I had lots of bags but only got her some fresh fruit as a treat, instead of toys or anything. Funny thing was she was behaving good that day. She went to her usual spot and patiently waited until I finished unbagging stuff and putting them away. The moment I was done with the last bag, she gave out this loud "put out"/upset cry cause she realized there was no toy and she waited for nothing X_x;;; I had to prepare her fruit treat right away to console her lol Otherwise she has her excited shakes and gives me kisses :P

| These little meatballs have amazing powers of communication! I don't know if I'm learning Yorkish or if Piper is learning English; I do know, like Kimchi, Pipe is pretty clear in letting me know what she wants and she's clear in letting me know when I'm failing miserably...! AiiyaaiiiiYAAIIIIIII !! By the way, Lunarberry, I'm thinkin' you owe your baby girl a couple of fabulous make-up toys, yes?! |

| I think we are learning Yorkie talk and they are learning human talk by watching and listening. It never ceases to amaze me of the Yorkie intelligence! Sometimes (as just about all the time) my Yorkie will look at me and make strange sounds. I look at him trying to figure out what he is asking. After a while, he will jump up and start kissing me like crazy-what is he saying? "That's ok daddy, I will try to teach you my language of the Yorkie" Also, when I come home from shopping, put the packages down and my Yorkie goes through all of them. Sometimes I have toys and sometimes not. He just sniffs and does not break open any packages (I have foods such as meats in those packages which I am sure he sniffs). What a joy my Yorkie is. |
