| Puppy Ears Hi all, I know there have been a lot of posts about floppy ears and have read all advice on massage, clipping the hair and taping. While reading the posts I see many pups have put an ear or even both up and it's then dropped however Addie hasn't at all. There has been no sign of her ears going up. She's only 11 weeks old so I know there's plenty of time, we're going to tape them at the weekend. Does it seem like she will just keep floppy ears? I love her and shes beautiful no matter how her ears go just really curious to see if they can go up xx |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Unless you tape them, they probably won't go up. Here is how: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pup...-stand-up.html

| She is adorable.....but she is still young! Those ears can typically and quite normally, take until the baby is 14-16 weeks old, and then they can go up and down with teething...just keep the fur shaved from the upper 1/3-1/2 of the ears, and they still have plenty of time for this baby's ears to come up! When baby is 16-18 weeks old, if you want to tape them, no harm done....but you still have plenty of time for this babys ears to come up! Keep them shaved as I suggested, to "lighten the load" on the ear tips.... |

| Addie is adorable! I agree with you that whether her ears go up or not, she is a beautiful baby.

YT 500 Club Member | Addie is beautiful. My little guy had one up and one down as a pup. Both are standing now. I really didn't do anything special. My breeder said to just give it time. There does seem to be something about teething, who knows what. Give her time, especially if her Mom & Dad's ears are up.

| oh my, your darling is adorable! My girl.. well I remember trying to put her ears up but didn't keep up with it, as she would remove them and it was hassling to me. I went to just doing massages and feeding her cottage cheese or calcium rich treats when she teethed. I didn't worry so much about her ears standing up as we've had a yorkie that took a few years to do that on it's own before. I only get concerned with her ears being completely down (prone to ear infections more). So she wound up with a sort of half floppy/up ears, which are really cute and depending on how she lays they'll stand up some. I just wasn't too big on taping them up, but was more than willing to massage them lol and she preferred that better too.

| Thank you all ☺. Today shes been moving them a lot which she never does. And they're not as flat to her head as they usually are. So she may start putting them up. Or I'm looking for any little sign lol. Definitely going to try the tape and foods rich in calcium. Here she is with some "ear lift" 2nd pic blurry (a lot we take are) 😁😂 xx

| I'm not a fan of taping their little ears. If they are just a pet no reason to put them through that. She is so very cute either way. I have one with floppy ears and one without. When I got Joey from a bad situation at nine weeks and after putting him on puppy food a week later his ears were standing.
