| Following strangers and barking at them. Sometimes I'll take Ruger to the park and unleash him so he can play with the other dogs. All is good, but if he sees a stranger walking down the sidewalk he'l follow them and bark continuously. He'll come back after about half a block, but I'm wondering why he does this. Is he protecting me? Does he hate these people for some reason. Male, female, it doesn't matter. When he sees someone he knows he comes up to them quietly and waits to be petted. What gives? |

| Wait! What? There are people who actually ignore and seemingly oblivious, walk past Ruger? Well, that simply isn't done; it's very impolite! I believe your little guy is pointing out and trying to correct their rude behavior. Geez, some people---you tell 'em, Ruger! I'm sure you find my reply to be wonderfully right on and helpful...!! |

Ziggy - I'm not sure why some dogs do this, some are just very reactive..others are not. Have you tried obedience training yet?
