| My Yorkies Watery Eyes I have a beautiful 6 month yorkie. And her eyes have been watery. Is it because of the food that I give her! What do you recommend? Please help! |

| Could be allergies, usually environmental. Food allergies are less common, although some Yorkies do better with some foods when it comes to eye goobers and tear stains. Pollen and dust are big problems. Things you use inside your home can also contribute. Cleaning products and air fresheners can be irritants. Hair in the eye can also cause excessive tearing. When Max was a pup and his hair was growing out, keeping the hair out of his eyes was a constant battle.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Is she still teething? If so, it's probably from that.

| I forgot about the teething stage. That definitely contributes to watery eyes.

| Zoey's eyes seem to be more watery during allergy season. I wipe her eyes couple times a day. |

| My Yorkie's eyes seem to get extremely watery when she is exposed to sun light. Any suggestions? |

| She has adjusted to bright sunlight and windy days now, but during our first summer together I put doggles on Piper because her beautiful baby browns were soo sensitive; the doggles seemed to help her a lot. I also give Piper a tap water/distilled water blend. |

| More then likely it's teething. Joey my pup just turned 6 months and he is still teething and his eyes can water pretty bad sometimes.

| Yorkies are known to have allergies, but teething may be a contributor as well... If you have a vet, perhaps they can make some suggestions
