First time yorkie parent Hello , My name is Cheryl and I am new to the forum and a new yorkie owner! Although I have a small farm and take care of many different animals, have bred golden retrievers in the past, yorkies are new to me! I planned on this for a long time. I fortunately ended up with two! A college friend of my daughters could not keep his male 7mo old yorkie so I took him in as well with my new female pup! Now I have Brody and Bridgette. 11mos and 11 weeks! Not to leave out my menagerie.... A rescued mini donkey Oscar, A rescued mini pony Bella, Fig our goat, 2 barn cats Lex and Lovey, 2 LGD Great Pyrenees Kane and Blue who watch over our property, 40 or so Chickens, our inside rescue cat Emmitt, Standard poodle Chanel!

Hi, Congratulations on those cute babies. Sounds like they are going to have lots of fun. I am pretty new here as well with my first full blooded yorkie baby but he is all that I have to care for. The puppy stage so far is so much fun and a little overwhelming but the fun part outweighs it.

Thanks all! I am enjoying them both! My only real issue is eating.. Brody doesn't eat much but,... the baby wow she is so picky. One day she's devouring something next day can't get her to eat a bit. I have tried everything, softening kibble( the crappy stuff she came with) , mixing with some wet pup food. Tried Blue Buffalo for small breed puppy and did same. Tried baby food , yogurt, eggs. From reading different posts here just got Health Extension , she liked now ? is will she like tomorrow. UGH She has went into sugar shock twice since I have had her. I have to set alarms at night and give her something or next morning she is toast. I was using nutri cal from breeder, but just got Nutra drops today after reading about it here.
