| ![]() She's acting like a wild child- finally! However, she found a treasure last night, and I KNEW her tummy would be a bit upset, especially since she's a piggernaut and eats WAY too fast. I know yogurt and pumpkin puree; It says live culture yogurt. Please tell me this is simply just plain old yogurt like yoplait? Her stools are loose, but formed. Bits of her 'treasure' carpet string- are in it, despite the fact I pulled almost all of it out of her mouth and out of her wee paws. Thanks, guys!!! She's ALSO extremely hungry despite it. I lowered her food to less than a half, but, I'd like to try the pumpkin/yogurt. Of all days to come out of her shell and FINALLY be the little terror I knew was hidden in there!! |

To confirm, yes it's plain old yogurt, but note that it's Plain Yogurt (i.e. no flavours, not even vanilla - those have sugars in it). It doesn't matter the brand..some brands are higher live culture content. Make sure to check the can for the ingredients list that it's 100% pumpkin and not the pumpkin pie filling stuff. How's her poop been since you've lowered it to less than half? If her poop doesn't get better, but worse, you may need to take away the food. If you take away her food and she's really small and young, you may need to either take her to the vet or feed to something like Nutri-Cal (Nutri-Cal | Revival Animal Health).

| ![]() We just bought this house in January. When we steamed the carpets, my husband removed throw rugs from our living room floor, only to discover after Chewie came home, that they were covering pieces of carpet that have come up- string. We spent over an hour cutting everything out, but she discovered one last night. It only took literally the time for me to QUICKLY go potty and my husband taking something out of the microwave. She dug it up and was pulling it out fast. Of course, they are quick little things. I removed it from her paws, got it out of her mouth, cut it up, cut the debris away, and then covered it up with a rug in an attempt to stop the digging, which worked. Her poop is much better, tummy is no longer rumbling. The second one she did wasn't loose, and no debris in it. To be very clear, there wasn't a lot of anything in the first one. a very tiny bit. It's the fact that she's so small that I was diligent in checking. Just in case, though, I'm going to give her the pumpkin (and yes, I knew it wasn't pumpkin pie filling, made very certain to get the plain stuff) and got the plain yogurt, which I also knew wasn't supposed to be flavored. It was the live culture information that threw me. I didn't know if it was supposed to say that-specifically. I was going aw, geez, do I go to whole foods?!- or was it just "regular" yogurt. I will be buying the food you listed just in case- never hurts to have something like that on hand. Vet tech called back and told me the same thing about an hour ago about the yogurt. I want to just be safe than sorry, give her tummy a bit of time to calm down even further, so tonight she'll get some mash. Thanks. |
