| ![]() I recently got my little girl who is almost 2 yrs old. When she is in her small area which is a crate and a couple pee pads she'll "go" on the pee pads and not in her crate. But when I allow her out and with a pad nearby she'll just squat wherever and do her business. I thought she'd catch on fast since she's older. Not the case at all. |

| ![]() Hello! Regardless of the age, some times you have to expand their space gradually and not go further until they have done well in their current area. Takes a while sometimes depending upon what their past experiences. Good luck!

| ![]() If I were pad training a dog, age does not matter, she knows what the pad is for, when she pees where ever she feels like, take the pad from where you placed it, absorb the pee with the pad, place the pad back where you what it, pick her up and place her on the pad and tell her, "pee pee on the pad" (or what ever you call it). No raising of the voice, no punishing, patience and consistency are the key words. She may associate the pad with her crate only. Clean the area where she peed with an enzyme cleanser, like Nature's Miracle urine destroyer.

Also I am a little weird. I don't want them to have to hold it until I get home from work. I know how I feel when I have to hold it so I can only imagine how they feel so I gave them a safe place to potty indoors should they have to go. Good news for me is that Duchess still goes outside as well......the best of both worlds. | |
