| Finalllllyyy.MUNSY YORKIES after my hectic search and not being able to commit to some breeders i felt weren't completely trustworthy i came accross Munsy Yorkies - Home a few nights ago while i was hopeless searching all of google/facebook/puppyfind for more breeders. i came across her facebook page https://www.facebook.com/munsyyorkies and saw she only had amazing reviews and that she just had a litter. with that being said this just felt right so after a few emails and 3 nights of serious thinking my deposit was sent today. i am so anxious and already cant stop thinking of new names and what its going to be like when she gets home. this is just the beginning so i have a long time to wait as the puppies are just a week old i believe but still its exciting... if anyone has gotten a furbaby from Brandy or heard anything please do share ! |

| Their site is lacking in information. No health contract posted. Do they give one? No prices posted either, so can't comment on that. Although it looks like they only do one or two litters per year which is good. Also they dogs are AKC. Another good sign. However, on their pups page, the top two seem to have brown noses. One of their studs is a chocolate. They don't say how much the dams weigh.

| How old are the babies when they let them go to new homes? That speaks volumes.... |

| Puppy It seems from the website that only the Florida Health Certificate is given as a health guarantee? It is an interesting and pretty comprehensive contract. Pups must be over 8 weeks, but who knows what this breeder does? There seems to be a lot of colors in her dogs and pups, are they all standard for a purebred Yorkie? The studs are small, around 3 pounds, but doesn't say, as far as I could see , what the dams are. She is a hobby breeder and one hopes a good one! I would certainly find out as much info as you can and see the breeder and her breeder parents. Also a good health guarantee over and above the Florida vet certificate would be great! Wishing you good luck and praying your pup is healthy and lives a long and happy life |

| Sorry - and I HATE to say anything negative - ever... But I don't trust that website...it all seems a bit fake and iffy to me - if it were 'over here', I wouldn't trust it. Anything with paw-prints in the background is always a big 'no-no'... I'd avoid it like the plague...

| Paw prints are better than bible verses. She is in FL. The Op is in NY. I doubt she will visit in person and the deposit is non refundable. That is another point to me that is iffy.

| Pup price On another site, price from $1100 to 2000. She also sells pups as purse pups or studs! |

| 'Those' paw prints are normally the pre-cursor to what we all know is going to be a bit of a puppy-iffy-nightmare...how many times have we seen that?

| Don't get me wrong, I would never personally buy from this breeder, esp sight unseen!

| hello yorkie talk family ! i am so happy im getting some feed back.... your adivce is always welcomed by me !in regaurds to the health gurantee contract she offers a one year health gurantee for life threatening genetic defects also mom is 7 pounds.. pricing she told me is boys 1100 / girls 1500 and up she had a lengthy deposit list but some are interested in chocolate puppies which i believe she has a choclate boy and he is actually the dad to this litter but all pups right now are looking like traditonal color like mom . about it being site unseen... yes it is but she only releases at 10 -12 weeks. and she perfers i fly out and pick up which i most probably will do. she doesnt like flying her pups alone in cabin . she has only but great reviews on her facebook and alot of people seem to keep in contact and send her update pics. i believe she only has few litters a year and is a hobby breeder. please keep the advice coming.. my first yorkie is from a breeder in texas who is retired in breeding yorkies she is a gift from the heavens and has given me no issues. she was purchased from a site (home)i never saw but breeder was absoultely amazing and she also only had amazinggggggg reviews. the breeder was also here on yorkie talk . | Pup Thank you for the update and additional info. Good that the mom of the pups is a good weight and that she keeps the pups to 12 weeks. I do not know the deal with chocolate Yorkies, they may be standard but IDK?? Does this off color come with any genetic defects too? I am glad she has a year's health guarantee. It is one thing getting a pup sight unseen from a well known and respected breeder, but more risky for a small hobby breeder with no history of many generations of litters. Good luck and hope your baby turns out to be all you expected By the way does she specify if you can breed her pups or does she require neutering as part of the sales contract? | Chocolates are a fault and should not be considered a "rare' color or charged more for it. In fact, pups with a choc nose should be cheaper. One year health guarantee? Sorry but most congenital defects don't show up until years later. Living in NYC you prob think $1500+ or up for a female is cheap but for a hobby breeder from FL I think that's high.

| Chocolate is definately not standard for the breed. See the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America web site. As far as I know you can not fly an unaccompanied dog in the cabin! Only in cargo.
